"I'm still hungry." I complain to Mark as I watch him eat his school lunch. He looks at me, raising an eyebrow.

He places an apple in my hand, before returning back to his sandwich. "Was your wrap not enough?" he asks.

"You know I eat a lot." I say, biting into the apple and laying back in my chair. School was slow today.

A few people came up to me and said that I was "internet famous" because I have over 50k on Twitter and Instagram. People that i rarely ever talked to even asked for shoutouts in the middle of class, as if none of the teachers were teaching. I found it quite rude and the teachers were so annoyed, they kicked those students out the class.

i wasn't complaining though because they would start passing notes to me, and some girls told me that Sammy was cute and if we ever break up, to give him their number. I didn't know how to respond so i just smiled and looked away. I was just relieved that it was lunch because i have been hungry all day.

I ended spending the week at Marks house because i was so exhausted and sleep deprived. i made sure to check on my mom first. I had to get some clothes anyways but i came home to find her arguing with my brother.

Apparently he was off smoking weed in an abandoned building in the woods not far from our house. The police caught them and it was  considered trespassing so my mom had to pick up my brother from jail. She wasn't happy at all and to add to the tension, she told him that she wished he was more like me.

That sent him over the top and he fought back by saying he hated her and she is the main reason as to why dad is always on business trips. He stormed off to his room, accidentally bumping into me during the process.

Its been two days since the whole fiasco and i have spent the night at Marks house ever since. Not that his parents mind, because they say I'm making up for lost time. "Hey," he nudged my side, "You alright, you're zoning off on me. Caleb just came by and was trying to have a conversation with you."

I look around to see Caleb with a concerned look on his face. I smile at him in reassurance before facing Mark. "I am thinking about life." I reply bluntly, pursing my lips into a thin line. Before he could say anything, the bell rings, indicating that it was time to go to next period.

I suddenly roll my eyes at the obnoxious sound, "You're my best friend, right?" I say to Mark, grabbing a hold of his arm. "Of course, why?" He says, a little unsure.  A smile forms on my face from ear to ear, "Lets bail. Who cares if we do."

He looks at me with surprise, before shaking his head. "The school will care, as well as our parents and so will colleges." I raise an eyebrow at him, "I know you're joking. C'mon Mark, Its just this one time. Its not like were going to do something illegal."

He looks at me, still unsure. "Please. Its our senior year. Wouldn't you like to be able to say that we skipped school." I look at the clock behind him, seeing we only have two minutes to actually leave the school unnoticed. "Alright but we have to hurry!"

I squeal before grabbing my things and pratically dragging him out the lunchroom. The halls aren't as boisterous as they usually are which makes our jobs much difficult. We begin to casually walk and we inch closer to the side exit. An officer turns the corner and our pace commences to decrease in speed.

He glares at us, "Hurry up and get to class!" He stands at the corner, spectating us and i search frantically around the halls. I notice there isn't a camera which explains why he's just standing there, staring at us. "We need a distraction. He isn't leaving any time soon." I whisper to Mark.

Just as i said that, the gods answered our prayers and someone comes running down the halls with a water gun, yelling "This is Sparta, This is Sparta!" The security seems to forget our existence and begins chasing after him.

We run towards the exit and quickly get out the building, sprinting towards the grey convertible. The car unlocks and i hurriedly hop inside. He puts the keys in the ignition, hot and fresh out the kitchen. (sorry not sorry) We drive out the school and i squeal in excitement.

"Oh my god we're such losers!" I squeal, pushing the hair that was blowing in my face. We were getting so excited over skipping, when this is such a normal thing for most people. "So, where are we going?" he asks me, driving at a normal speed.

I glanced over at him, pursing my lips in a thin line. "We didn't really think about that did we." He quickly faces me before turning back to the road.

"I was going to say we should get lunch but we just did that." he laughs. "Ooh! Idea! Idea!"  He halts at the redlight.

"Shoot little one." He says, thumping on the steering wheel with his fingers. "Frozen yogurt!" I yell. He agrees and we drive off to the nearest frozen yogurt place. We spend the rest of the car ride talking about life after high school.

How we both want to go to college and after, maybe even start a family. If Sammy and I are still together, i might just travel around the world with him after i finished college. I don't really have a specific profession that I'm striving towards, but Im going to discover that when i get to college.

He parks in front of the place and we enter inside. We begin building our sweet concoction. I decided on cookie butter and brownie with actual brownies, then i put some more brownies, oreo bites, raspberries, kit kat, gummy worms, and a dallop of caramel.

Mark decides on plain vanilla, which is actually heaven in a cup for such a basic flavor, and on top of that, mini chocolate chip cookies, Oreos,  strawberries, raspberries, gummy worms, blueberries, and some whip creme. We pay for our delicious creation and sit down in a booth.

"So how has Samuel been?" he asks stuffing his face with the scrumptious desert. "He got released a few days yonder back. I haven't talked to him since Sunday."

"Does he still hate me?"

I look at him staring down at his bowl of frozen yogurt. I don't think he realizes I'm staring at him, but i wait a few more seconds before answering. "Why do you think that?"

"I would never intentionally steal you away from him." he mumbles, clear enough for me to decipher. Im speechless, but he seems to have a lot to say. "If you think about it, he seems to take you away from me."

"What do you mean?" i manage to ask. He looks up at me dead in the eyes. He looked so serious, this is something that i don't usually see from him and it begins to worry me. "We never wanted to break up with each other. Sam has had his eyes on you even before we started dating."

"No he has not."

"Avianna, don't be so ridiculous. Im pretty sure you've two known each other for as long as you could remember. He only started getting interested in you when we got into high school. Thats all anyone would talk about. Thats why i felt like we would be better off friends."

I purse my lips together, as i contently watch him. I didn't know he felt this way and i began to feel bad. "Im sorry, i didn't know. Anyssa is lucky to have you though."

"Its a shame she doesn't realize that though. I love her so much but it seems like she takes me for granted Avia. Im trying so hard to make it work." he says, his eyes finally softening. He seemed so delicate, as if in any given moment, he would break down. "Im sorry you feel that way."

"The feelings mutual, Avianna. The feeling is mutual."
