Chapter 8- Speechless

*LIAM'S POV*

I feel terrible. I can't even imagine the sadness I caused her. After being here with Brooke I realized how much I missed her. When we were younger, we would have movie nights all the time. We would  talk for hours and hours and could tell eachother everything. Being where I am now, it's hard to trust people, so its nice to have someone that I can talk to. 

"So how are you? How's your family?" she asked me. 

"Really good. I talk to them a lot. It's just hard ya know? I went from seeing them everyday to barely seeing them at all. I miss them a lot."

"Yeah I understand. Ever since I moved to London to go to Uni, I miss my family everyday. I try and talk to my mom a lot, but its hard cause I'm so busy with school and work."

"How do you like uni?"

"To be honest, I love it. I've met so many amazing people. I'm really happy here."

"That's good to hear."

"Yeah... So now that you're all big and famous, how's life treating you?" she laughed.

"I love being in the band," I said, laughing. "Niall, Zayn, Louis, and Harry are like brothers to me. Its crazy how fast we got along. I wouldn't have it any other way" 

"I still can't believe everything that's happened. Especially how fast it happened."

"I know. It's still crazy to me." I replied.

"So...," Brooke trailed off. "...How's Danielle?"

This was probably the last thing I want to talk about. 

"We broke up about a month ago."

"You don't say..." she said, sarcastically. "It was pretty obvious the way you were kissing and dancing with that whore of a blonde at the club."

"Yeah that was not one of my proudest moments," I replied, laughing. 

"Why'd you guys break up?" 

"Do you really want to talk about this?"

"I'm just curious, that's all."

"It just got too hard for us. We were always apart because of our jobs and the rumors in the media didn't help either. We finally decided to end it and just be friends.'

"Do you miss her?"

"Sometimes."

"Oh..."

"Since you're so curious about me, do you have a boyfriend?" I asked her. To be honest, I'm curious too. 

"We should probably finish watching this movie, okay?"

"Don't try to change the subject, Brooke," I said, laughing. 

"Fine. Ex-boyfriend. His name was Spencer"

"And..."

"We dated for 7 months, but I broke up with him about a month ago."

"Why?"

"I caught him having sex with another girl."

"I'm sorry, Brooke."

"It's whatever. It's for the better I guess."

"Yeah, you deserve better than that."

"and why is that?" she asked me, looking for an answer. 

"I've known you a long time Brooke. You're too good for someone like that."

"Wish I thought the same," she said, laughing.
