Tobias' POV

I am currently sitting in the cafeteria for dinner. Alone. I'm not literally having dinner right now, I just needed some time to think.

"Hey, bro." Zeke sits down in front of me. Great. "Sooo... You do know what day today is, right?"

"Yeah. Her 3rd death anniversary, how could I forget?" I say and let out a breath.

"What are you gonna do?"

"The usual. I'm going ziplining."

"Do you want me to come with?"

"No, Zeke. You know I always go alone." I say.

"Yeah, sure. Okay, well anyway, Ihave control room duty at 15."

"Yeah. Okay." I say.

"See ya, Four." He said and then head to the control room.

I walk silently towards the train tracks and wait for the train to arrive.

I hear the faint train horn, and I run catching up to it. I pull myself in as the train takes me to the sears tower.

After a few minutes, I decided to jump. I land on my feet, perfectly as always. I started to climb to the 100th floor of the tower.

I reach the top, catching my breath, the cold air hitting my face.

I grab the harness and strap myself, making sure it's secured.

I throw myself face first forward, the cold air making my face numb. I feel a lump on my throat again as my heartbeat goes faster.

The navy pier is visible beneath me. I remember the day tgat I had confirmed my feelings for Tris. The night we climbed the ferris wheel. That was one of the memories I will never forget.

I pull the brake as I near the end and pull myself out of the harness.

It's already 9:35 so I decided to go back.

Tris POV

"I know there's an exit right here so maybe we'll just go that way since it's the quickest way." Uriah said.

"Yeah then how are we able to escape those guards?" Marlene said.

"We split up. Me, Lynn and Tris will go on section A. and then turn down the left hallway. that connects to the exit that goes to the back of the bureau. Will, Uriah and Marlene with take the way to the exit. no one will see us there." Tori said.

"That sounds good." Will said.

"Okay, we leave at 3 A. M. We don't have much time because David will be here any minute." Tori said.

I look at the clock and it reads 1:28 A. M.

*guy in Spongebob voice.*
-- 1 AND A HALF HOUR LATER --

"Okay, you guys ready?" Uriah half whispers, half yell. We all nod.

Uriah opens the door slowly, not making a sound.

"Split up." Mar said.

Me and Lynn walk along with Tori as she takes us to section A. We're about to turn to the left hallway until we see three guards.

"Shit" i hear Tori mutter.

"How are we going to get through?" I whisper.

"Easy." she said and pulle out a gun from her back pocket. "you just have yo run fast after this."

"Okay." I say.

"1... 2... 3" We started to sprint down the hallway. after the 3 guards are down, I hear the alarm wailing and we started running fast to the exit.

Not far away, we see Uri, Will and Mar running to the same exit.

"Come on! Hurry!" I see a bunch of guards running after us.

We reach the exit and we started running and running. Gunshots fill the air, and I feel a searing pain on my left shoulder.

Sht.

"Tris! You okay?" Tori asks

"Yeah I'm fine."

We continue to run like there is no tomorrow until we escaped the guards. We stop for a while, all of us breathing heavily,

"Wooooohh!!! FREEDOM, MOTHERFUCKERS!" Uriah shouts and Lynn chuckles.

I sit down at a pavement to inspect my shot arm.

"How's your arm?" Will said, sitting down next to me.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it." I say and then there's silence between us.

"What do you think will happen if we go back there alive?" I say.

"I don't know. Maybe we'll just find out ourselves." he said.

"Christina misses you, you know? A lot." I say.

"God knows how much I missed her." He said and I feel a lump on my throat again. The morning sun burst out to the dark sky.

"Let's go." Tori said. "We have to go until David sends someone after us."

Then we run again. I feel my legs burning but I ignore them.

Finally, we reach the fence. Luckily, there are no guards. We enter the gate and walk towards the train tracks.

I hear a familiar train horn and then we started running beside it to catch up.

I pull myself in and sit down at the doorway, my feet dangling below.

I feel nervous about what Tobias' reaction would be. I don't know if he's going to take me back, or if he drives me away. What if he's already moved on? What if he finds another girl to be with him for the rest of his life?

I feel tears stinging my eyes as i bury my face between my knees.

What will I do now?

"Tris." Uriah said sitting down beside me. "why are you crying?"

"I just... I just don't know what will he do if he sees me. What his reaction would be. What will I expect if I get back there." I say.

"Well, we don't know what happened to him after all these years, but I know that Four wouldn't push you away.' he said. "you don't know how much he loves you."

"He keeps blaming himself, you know?" I say.

"What?" he said.

"After that wall exploded, he keeps blaming himself for what happened to you." I say.

"Seriously?" he asks

"He blames himself that he didn't kept you safe. " i say. and he lets out a heavy sigh.

"Come on guys, we're here." Tori said.

We jump from the train, me landing on my feet.

I feel my heartbeat rise up to my throat as we enter Dauntless Compound. I grab Uriah's arm and look at his watch.

6:38.
