Chapter 11: Reckless

Tris POV

"I love you. I'll see you soon."

"Tell Tobias I didn't want to leave him."

"Can I be forgiven for all I've done to get here?"

Those words are echoing in my head over and over again.

I am still sitting here on the platform of the ferris wheel in the Navy Pier, hugging my knees to my chest.

I sob quietly thinking about Tobias.

What is he doing now? He pushed me away. What will I do now?

I stare at the distance, wiping the tears from my face while leaning on the hard metal that is right beside me.

"Everyone is already happy." I say, pretending that I'm talking to someone.

"Zeke got his brother Uriah back. And Uriah and Marlene have been together again. Lynn and Shauna were also reunited. So is Will and Christina. Tori may be also very happy that she saw her brother again." I say, ignoring the tears that is streaming down my face.

"But what about him? He deserves to be happy too. Why is this so unfair?!" I say.

"I wish he would accept me again. I know that I have been so hard to control 'cause I'm... reckless but, I wish he would just give me a chance to explain. I miss him. So much. I'm sorry. I'm sorry..." Sobs took over my body as I stare at the distance.

Four POV

Where could she be? Come on Four, think.

Maybe she's in the chasm. I hurriedly walk there only to find Christina sitting near the rocks.

"Christina.Where is she?" I say. She turn her gaze towards me and her eyes immediately filled with anger.

"She ran away. She headed to the train tracks." She said coldly. I was about to walk away until she starts yelling at me.

"What was that, Four?!!!" She shouts her voice echoed.

"What?!" I snap back.

"I thought you missed her. I thought you needed her. I thought you said you still love her?!" She shouts at me and I immediately know who she's referring to.

"I do love her." I say looking down.

"Then why? Why did you jist push her away and left her begging for you to listen to her?! You know that Four. You know that she is the only one you need. She's the only one who can mend you. Why are being stupid?!?!"
She screams again. I stay silent.

"Last time I checked you were crying and begging for her to come back and now that she's here, you just slam the damn door on her face just. like. that?! Did you see her face, Four? She was also broken. You aren't the only one who's hurt. It took her years and who knows what has been happening to her those past years. But she still finds a way to come back to you. Because she loves you. Are you really just giving up, Four?" She lowers her voice, but still filled with anger.

"I'm not giving up on her." I say.

She gives me a small smile. "Then go get her."
