Louis' POV:

"Louis?"

When I look up I see Paige standing in front of me.

"Why are you sitting outside the locker room?"

She's looking at me like she's concerned.

She shouldn't be.

"Hey Paige." I perk myself up hoping that it will stop her concern.

"I'm already changed and I just thought I would sit out here and wait until I had to go out there." Talking about when I would need to go to the pool.

"Okay. Well I guess I will see you around." She gives me a half smile which tells me that she knows something is up.

After I wait for her to change and I see her walk outside I'm still sitting against the wall.

Since I'm not training Paige anymore she gets her own post to watch over.

And I count it a blessing when I don't have to sit next to her and have her look at me the way she just did.

I gather myself together and I walk through the doors into the sunlight.

When I put my sunglasses on a certain amount of anxiety goes away.

If people can't see my eyes they can't see the pain in them an they can't see the bags under them from how much I've cried.

It was just last night.

And now I'm expected to go into work and be a lifeguard and save people's lives when I feel like my whole world is crashing down on me.

For most of the day I sit and close my eyes.

If this is the only way I can get sleep then I'm going to take it.

No one dies and it's another day of work.

I'm dreading having to walk through the house so instead I take a different way home.

When I pull up into the store parking lot I look up at the sign that's blinking bright red.

LIQUOR STORE

When I put my car in park I get out and walk into the store.

I knew they didn't card people here. It meant more business for them and everyone was happy.

Searching the isles for the specific bottle I'm looking for I finally see it.

Vodka.

I'm not sure exactly what Harry was drinking that night we went out to eat but I know it was clear and I can only assume it was vodka.

Taking the bottle in my hands I take it up to the cashier and she rings it up and let's me leave.

When I get into my car I feel a certain excitement run through me.

The pain is still there. But now I'll have something to make it go away.

As I pull into my driveway the spot that is usually filled is empty. And I pull my car up next to it.

When I walk inside all the lights are turned off, the air is off. It's completely quiet.

I don't even bother turning any of the lights on.

I walk into the kitchen and grab a glass cup. The same one he used.

Making my way back into the living room I sit on my end of the couch and pour myself a little into the cup.

Bringing the drink to my mouth and taking a sip makes my lips and mouth sting.

So I take another.

And before I can even cough because of the sting I'm already tipping the glass up and swallowing it whole.

I shake my head and open my mouth wishing I had something to chase the alcohol with.

An idea pops into my head and I go to the fridge and I grab the orange juice.

Taking the whole thing with me I continue the cycle of taking a drink of vodka and then orange juice.

This goes on until I'm finally too weak and intoxicated to walk to my room.

I fall over on my side and fall asleep on the couch.

I make a tiny giggle as I'm reminded of the other person that slept drunk on this couch once.
