Jungkook was still animatedly explaining how amazing the cabin had been ,how the lake looked like glass in the morning, how the hike wound through pine trees and mist and suddenly opened to that breathtaking view ...he was describing everything so vividly that Jin and Yoongi could practically see it
They had just gotten back from the trip and hour ago. Their bags were still near the doorway.
Namjoon checked the time on his phone and sighed “I have to get ready to go to the office ”
Jungkook blinked “Already? But we just got here”
“I know..” Namjoon said, slipping the phone back into his pocket “But I told you I’ll be busy for a few days from now on. I need to catch up on everything I missed ”
Jungkook hummed quietly, disappointment showing despite how he tried to hide it
“I’ll go get ready” Namjoon said and got up from his seat
Jungkook rubbed the back of his neck “Hyung...Do you want me to send you lunch? I can cook something”
Namjoon shook his head immediately and caught Jungkook’s hand in his “No, baby...We just arrived. You need to rest ” His tone softened “I’ll eat out. Sleep well, okay? You said your neck was hurting from sitting in the car for so long...you need to take care of yourself” His fingers slid up to Jungkook’s neck, gently pressing the sore spot
Jungkook nodded with a small pout “Are you sure? It’s not trouble…”
“Yeah, I’m sure” Namjoon ruffled his hair before leaning down to press a quick kiss to his cheek
Across the couch, Jin and Yoongi had been silently watching the entire exchange.Yoongi leaned closer to Jin “Are we dreaming… or what exactly is happening right now?” he whispered
Jin frowned and shook his head slwoly “I have no idea..” Then he sighed dramatically “I’m so used to them fighting and bickering that this feels unnatural. Is it sadistic that I kind of miss it?”
“Jin!”
“Ow...hey!” Jin hissed as Yoongi kicked his ankle under the table “What? It was entertaining....Also, you can’t tell me this isn’t too mushy. Since when did he start calling people baby?”
Yoongi kicked him again “That’s his mate. Who else would he call baby? ...Be happy for them”
Jin rolled his eyes “Okay, fine...”
Then he cleared his throat loudly making Jungkook and Namjoon snap out of whatever they had going on “Are we done with the whole fluffy domestic moment now?”
Namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose and turned toward him “Yes...What happened now?”
“Good ” Jin said immediately “Because before you go, I need to tell you both something..”
