“Wow...” Jungkook stood frozen at the wide wooden balcony, hands gripping the railing as the sun slowly crept out from behind the mountains. Gold and soft orange spilled across the valley below, painting the pine trees in warm light. Mist still clung lazily to the treetops and the air looked impossibly calm, cool and untouched. For a moment, it felt like the world had paused just for him.
They had arrived at their destination late the night before. But, Jungkook barely remembered anything after that. He’d fallen asleep during the drive. And what little he did remember was just Namjoon’s warm hands guiding him inside the cabin, helping him out of his clothes and murmuring something as he led him toward the bed. He remembered being held and the faint scent of his alpha mixed with pine and cool night air. And then...nothing!
Now he woke up alone in the soft bed , wearing soft pink pajamas that definitely weren’t his and was awestruck by the cabin at first ...it was quiet, rustic and almost unreal. He took it all in slowly, letting the calm around him seep into his chest....But it was the view outside that truly stole his breath
“You love this?” Namjoon’s voice almost startled him. Jungkook turned to see his mate standing just behind, hair damp from a shower, dressed casually in a T-shirt and shorts. His scent was sweet and calm and he had a small smile on his lips.
“That’s an understatement...” Jungkook said, as his eyes fell back to the view“I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like this...” He exhaled slowly, eyes still fixed on the horizon “I thought the view from our home was good, but this is...so different...and so breathtaking .
Namjoon stepped closer, though his gaze stayed on Jungkook rather than the mountains “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”
Jungkook nodded “It doesn’t even feel real”
“That’s what I thought when I planned it..” Namjoon said quietly “I figured you’d like this...”
Jungkook finally turned to him with a pout “I don’t want to leave. Ever!!”
Namjoon laughed under his breath. “You just got here. And we don’t have to leave for a few days”
He sat down in one of the chairs by the window and gently tugged Jungkook back with him. Jungkook went without protest, and sat sideways on Namjoon’s lap. The alpha’s hands rested at his waist for a moment before he shifted Jungkook fully to face him. Namjoon dipped his head, pressing a kiss to the curve of Jungkook’s neck . Jungkook’s breath hitched as Namjoon nudged the pajama top off one shoulder and his lips started trailing over the newly exposed skin of his shoulder. Jungkook could feel heat creep up his neck and face “What are you doing?” Jungkook whined “Someone might see...”
