Goodbye

Derek had just walked in the house after dropping Cristina off at her house after they went fishing. Meredith Derek yelled she was nowhere to be found so Derek thought she was at the hospital until he found a bright green note on the fridge and he read it and his world fell apart. The note said:
Dear Derek, I know you care about Cristina more then me and it took me a while to figure it out but now I understand me and you I don't think we were meant to be if you never ask me how I feel or felt about the whole shooting. I want you to know I had a miscarriage that day and told the shooter to shoot me. You were so caught up in Cristina's problems to see your wife's so this is why I left. Don't worry about me I'm off in Europe with Sadie. I hope you find someone you actually care about. I will always love you with all my heart. Love, Meredith

Now Derek realized he made a huge mistake how was he supposed to tell everyone that he was the one that made Meredith leave. I'm so stupid to not realize my wife was also traumatized.

3 years later

Derek had quit surgery two years ago and became a drunk out at his trailer Meredith was the love of his life and when Alex told Derek Meredith had moved on and found a man that put her before him it broke Derek knowing that the love of his life is happy in Europe with a family and a amazing career.

In Europe

I am so happy with my husband Tony and my kids Bri, Lexie, and Brody. Lexie moved out to Europe with me and we currently own the number one teaching hospital in the world. Sometimes I miss Derek but then I look at my family and think it may have not been this way and I wouldn't be this happy if I had stayed.
