Zayn had been staring out Harry's living room window one Wednesday evening after work. She'd been staying with Harry for 6 days ever since the night he invited her to spend the night on Thanksgiving. So she hadn't even seen her condo since then. She felt that spending the night there so many days in a row would be overstaying her welcome. But Harry insisted he wanted her to spend a whole week there to make up for time lost. And after considering the encounter at work last Friday with Shahid, it was easier to continue to grant his request.

"Here, babe." She looked back to see Harry holding a mug of freshly made hot chocolate out to her.

"I put you a few marshmallows in it too."

She took it from him and noticed he had one of his own. "Uhm... Thanks."

"Sure. Its the least I could do after you did these for me." he cheesed as he pointed to the top of his head. He was referring to two French braids Zayn had done for him when she claimed she was bored and needed something to do. But he knew she was just wanting to touch him. So he let her have her fun.

She smiled slighty, but it faded as she turned to the window to look through the blinds again. The sun was on its way to setting and it was cold, rainy and dreary outside.

"Are you okay? You've been standing at the window for fifteen minutes."

"Yeah... I just... I don't know."

He pulled her closer by the oversized knitted sweater she was wearing, then snaked his hand under it, so he could rub at the bare skin of her waist. "Are you sure? You know you can tell me anything. I'm still your best friend. Nothing has changed."

She found so much comfort in his last sentence, feeling like she was the old Zayn again and she slightly turned to face him. "Do you sometimes feel like somebody is following you? Like... That someone could be watching your every move."

Harry chuckled. "That may have been me. I did secretly stare at you from the kitchen while the milk was warming up. Sorry about that."

Zayn laughed lightly even though she didn't want to. "No really. I'm serious, baby. Do you ever get a weird feeling that maybe there's someone out there who's watching you everywhere you go? Someone with bad intentions?"

"No. Sorry. Why do you ask? You think someone with bad intentions might be following you?"

She turned away from him, but didn't answer. "I guess what I was going to eventually get at is that this weekend, I'm going to get dog for the condo. I'm just now realizing that I am a female now, which makes me look like an even more vulnerable target to everyone and I need something for protection. Asap."

"You've got me."

"Except you can't bite an intruder. Well, you can. But it'd be pretty damn weird and I'm afraid we couldn't date anymore after that."

Harry laughed and sipped his hot chocolate with loud slurps. "Yeah, you should probably get a dog."

She stepped away from him and went over to the mantle to set her hot chocolate down. So he left the window and went over to the couch to have a seat. "Now, you are absolutely sure you're okay, right? You aren't really worried about anything?"

"Not quite sure yet. I think I'm just paranoid right now. I think I might need a vacation away from here. Yeah, maybe that's what I need. A break."

Harry suddenly perked up and sat his hot chocolate down on the coffee table in front of him. "I might just have the perfect solution for you then."

She gave him a worried, yet hopeful look. "Like..."

"Come here. I have a proposal for you."

"Okay." She slowly walked over to him and when she saw him patting his lap, she did willingly sit there facing him, placing her knees at his hips. "What kind of proposal?"
