Too many people.

Thomas stood near the door.
Mari beside him.
Allison leaned against the wall.
Gabriela Gvardiol stood at the foot of the bed.
Matthew remained seated next to Isabella.
Hannah and Grace had stopped talking entirely.
No one moved.
Isabella looked at Gabriela.
Isabella:
“You said you found the traitor.”
Gabriela nodded slowly.
Gabriela:
“We did.”
Isabella:
“Then stop talking in riddles.”
Mari exchanged a glance with Thomas.
Thomas spoke carefully.
Thomas:
“We wanted to confirm the data first.”
Grace crossed her arms.
Grace:
“You confirmed it.”
Thomas nodded.
Thomas:
“Yes.”
Silence stretched across the room.
Isabella’s voice dropped lower.
Colder.
Isabella:
“Say the name.”
No one spoke immediately.
Matthew noticed her breathing quicken slightly.
He leaned closer to her.
Matthew:
“Easy.”
Isabella didn’t look at him.
Isabella:
“I’m perfectly calm.”
Grace muttered quietly.
Grace:
“Yeah, that’s the scary part.”
Gabriela finally spoke.
Gabriela:
“The Verona mission details were leaked twelve minutes after the file was opened.”
Isabella listened carefully.
Gabriela:
“That file was only accessible through our internal system.”
Mari continued.
Mari:
“We tracked the login.”
Allison added calmly.
Allison:
“And the secondary data transfer.”
Thomas finished the sentence.
Thomas:
“It leads to one person.”
Isabella stared at him.
The room felt colder.
Isabella:
“Who.”
Thomas hesitated.
Grace noticed.
Grace:
“Thomas.”
Thomas sighed quietly.
Thomas:
“You trusted him.”
The words hung in the air.
Isabella’s expression didn’t change.
But Matthew felt her hand tighten slightly around the sheet.
Hannah looked between them.
