Chapter 13 Brooks POV

I pull up to the Burchest drive way get out of my car to go and knock on their door.

Briland's dad answered and welcomed me in.

I walked into their living room where I am offered a seat, and told that briland would be down in a sec.

Her dad and I talked about rugby for awhile before Bri came downstairs

"Sorry it took so long" she laughed

"Its ok babe you look great" I say

She smiled

"Have her back by 11:00" her father spoke sternly

"Of course your the boss" I grin

Bri laughed and kissed her father goodbye as we walked out the door.

My girl I think to myself.

She was wearing these forest green high waisted jeans with a cream colored halter thing, cream flat shoes, and a necklace paired with the earring set I got her.

Her hair was in messy yet perfected slop on her head

God I loved messy buns on her.

I open he car door for her to get in and to the other side.

"Thank you babe" she grins

"Yup" I reply

I close my door and grab my seatbelt to buckle

"Soo where are we going" she asked

I look at her and shake my head.

"Nope"

"Nope what?" she turned to look at me

"No Briland no, can I surprise you for once please"

I let out a sigh and she starts chuckling.

"I suppose every now and than look at how beautiful the lights are tonight this is definitely San Francisco at its finest"

I grab her hand and kiss it

"You're the one that makes it fine"

"That's so corny" she said smiling shamelessly

I saw her from the corner of my eyes she was blushing.

I've been dating her for three years and still can make her blush.

I smiled as we pulled up to summertin park.

"You ready" I say

She nodds and unbuckles her seatbelt.

I get out and open the trunk and grab our date night supplies

"This is so pretty" she exclaims

I grab her hand she grabbed mine back.

"Come on" she says

Running and pulling me along.

"Lets go discover the world together"

*laughing*

We find a spot to lay out the blanket and sit down.

Summertin park is the only place where you can see the stars.

I light up some candles and hand her a tray of in town Mexican food she smiles wickedly.

"My favorite"

She bites her lips and grabs a fork as she digs in, I did the same.

When we're finished we feed each other girl scout cookies.

But that turned into a cookie nose stack contest.

She blew out candles and laid down on the blanket I laid down beside her and she intertwined our legs together and spoke.

"This is great" she says

"Great it is"

"Me and you" she continues

"Uou and me" I echo

"Together forever"

"Forever together" I mimick

"I love you with all my heart"

"With all my heart I love you"

She flickered her eyes to mine and I look over to her and smile she returned it with a faint one.

"There's something I have to tell you" she said nervously

"What is it"

I say trying not to get to eager she looks down.

"The reason I was at the hospital was because I had a check up yesterday".

Tears start rolling down her face I sit up and show all eagerness now

"I I I have stage 4 leukemia Brooks I thought I should tell you now just in case"

I interrupt her speech.

"Hey don't talk like the Bri you're gonna be fine you're gonna be fine"

I grab her and pull her close and kiss her forehead.

"I'm not leaving your not leaving okay?"

"Okay" she answered faintly

"Lets go to my place" briland spoke up

I nodded and agreed.

We drove to her house and she lets me in through the back.

She in her pajamas now which is my giant red socks t-shirt.

Her hairs still up and she noshin's me to her room we lie down on her bed and start a movie hence forth the start, of our night.
