Chapter 21 Briland's POV

"Sooooo" I begin

"How's it feel to be officially be in a relationship"

I prop my head up onto my hands that already lay on the table.

"Its not my first rodeo Bri, but I guess I'm excited, you know how long I've had a crush on Ashton"

Leah said I nod my head

"Yeah" I reply as write down my answer on our work sheet.

Silence overtakes us for a moment

"Do you want some candy" she asked
I pipe up once again

"Oh babe you know me so well yes, yes food a way to a true woman's heart"

She smiled widely as she pulled out the bag of chocolates

We both looked around us and hid the bag under my hoodie I sigh in relief knowing that the candy was safe.

I know my priorities are A1.

By the end of class all the chocolate was gone and we girls were still hungry, and lunch wasn't for another 2hrs.

I collected my things and walked out of the class dispointed as the bell rang.

"Wait up" a feminine voice called out for me

"I wasn't leaving yet" I smile

"Mmhm" Leah mumbled causing me to smile harder

"What class are you going to" I ask her

"AP Chem, what about you"
I look up to think and then speak

"Art 4"

"ooooo" Leah said

"Well I have to go upstairs but I'll see you soon k"

I pushed my hair behind my ear focused on the crowd

"Yeah see you then babe"

Once I reach the art room I'm in awe the art 4 room has always been spoken of as amazing and it did not disappoint

As the class began we were instructed to create a piece of abstract painting I took a deep breath and let my brush glide against canvas

Not knowing exactly what I wanted to paint but letting all my feelings go, I liked this room already there where no desk and everyone could free fall

As continued to paint with the colors of a winter a spill of red fell on to my canvas I was utterly confused at first

Until I felt a tickling in my nose I slowly brought my hand up to my nose and sure enough o was bleeding

"Are you fucking kidding me" I say aloud causing the teacher to glance my way

"Is everything alright over there Ms.Burchest" the teacher asked sarcastically

"Yeah, no - I said while plugging my nose - I need to go the nurse"

She closely inspected my area and with a nod told me to go I got up slightly embarrassed and started making my way to the office

I get there in about a 1 minute tops so you can imagine the mess.

I stood in front of the office doors not being able to use my hands because of my situation

Waiting for someone to come the rescue another minute, once someone finally opens the door I rush to the clinic

"Mrs.Cathy" I called a bit muffled

"Just a second" a delicate voice answered

"Briland oh my god come here"

I walk over to her and sit on the bed she goes to grab some tissues and some soap and water she hands me

The tissues as she sanitized her hands to help me out.

"So how are things" she began I knew exactly what she meant by it

"Not good... I uh - I cleared my thoart to prepare myself with reality - I uh have stage 4"

Her smile disappeared and her face turned stern

"I'm so sorry to hear that bri" she said a her thoart hitched

She had finished cleaning me up and stopped the bleeding, looking into my eyes she asked

"How do you feel"

"Honestly I feel okay" I say nodding and pulling my sleeves down

"Positive" she asked

"Yeah but could I stay for a little while I'm little tired"

She smiled at me "of course you can"

I smiled to her as a thanks and laid down I closed my eyes only to be interrupted by my thoughts

I'm lucky to have Mrs.Cathy even when I wasn't sick she'd let me sleep in her office, I mean now I was but I still felt a security in her.

My minds wheels stopped spinning and let me drift into a sleep one that I was in desperate need of.
