It was three hours past noon, which meant to Hiccup that Astrid and Ryder were together, alone, for three hours! Hiccup was furious. How long does it take for someone to show dragon secrets!? Hiccup thought as he walked in to Snotlout's house. And to his surprise, Snotlout was alone. Where is everyone?

"Snotlout," Hiccup said as he approached his companion. "Where's your dad?"

"Having a yak lifting contest with Gobber," Snotlout replied with a, clearly noticeable, bored tone.

"What about Fishlegs?"

"Feeding Meatlug her third lunch of the day."

"Ruffnut and Tuffnut?"

"In the woods, seeing who could knock down a tree with their head first."

"And Hookfang?"

"He's sleeping."

"Well, I guess it's just you and me," Hiccup said as he sat on the chair next to only, other, person in the room.

Snotlout finally raised his head, looking at Hiccup's direction at him and asked, "What about Astrid?"

"Well—" Hiccup was cut off before he could continue.

"Oh, I see. She's still with Ryder," Snotlout interrupted mockingly.

Hiccup has held in his feelings all day about Astrid and Ryder and needed to confide in someone. Since everyone else was busy doing something else, he had to do with Snotlout.

"Snotlout, I feel a dark pain inside myself when Astrid's around Ryder. It burns my soul and steams my heart. I don't know what's wrong with me. What should I do? I don't want Astrid around Ryder but I don't want to seem like an over possessive boyfriend."

Snotlout looked at Hiccup with a sneaky smirk and knew that what he was going to say next wasn't going to be good.

"Well, maybe you are an over possessive boyfriend. For the longest time, Astrid liked you and no one dared to come between you two. But now, you just can't handle the fact that Astrid could be interested in someone else other than you." Snotlout leaned back onto his chair and put his feet up to the table. He sighed. "I mean, I get it. I would be jealous too if my girlfriend was around this new guy, alone, who she also thinks is attractive"

"I'm not jealous," Hiccup replied defensively.

"Hiccup," Snotlout said, sitting back up straight and slamming his hands onto the table. "you just explained to me the feelings of jealousy." He gave Hiccup a half smirk.

"No I didn't. I just don't want her around him. I want to punch him out when he smiles at her and when they are together I—" Hiccup paused. I am...jealous? I am jealous. He sighed and finally realized that was jealous. "I—I am jealous, Snotlout. What do I do?"

"First of all, Hiccup, you're not even able to punch a girl let alone Ryder. And secondly, Astrid is just hanging out a lot with Ryder only to make you jealous. Simple as that."

"I don't think so, Snotlout. She said that he was going to show her the secrets of the Deadly Nadder," Hiccup replied

"She's just saying that as an excuse. Trust me, I know women." Hiccup couldn't deny that Snotlout didn't know women. He has been rejected a million times by Astrid and Ruffnut, along with other girls. He knew what to do and what not to do in situations like this. So, desperate, Hiccup decided to take Snotlout's advice.

"Okay Snotlout. What should I do?" Snotlout's half-smirk evolved into a full grin. He stood up and pushed his chair back, knowing the wall. He rubbed his hands together.

"Ok Hiccup, you might know a lot about dragons but you know absolutely nothing when it comes to women. Hello? Astrid found a guy to make you jealous and so you'll find a girl to make her jealous." Hiccup noticed that Snotloust said the last sentence very slowly to make sure Hiccup would understand. I'm not an idiot, Snotlout, Hiccup thought. But he just kept listenning. "Once she feels jealousy, like you do right now, she'll realize how you felt, leave the guy and you two will live happily ever after. I rest my case." Snotlout sat back down onto his chair, that wasn't there anymore, and fell butt-first onto the floor. Hiccup didn't notice. He was thinking about Snotlout's plan and for the first time ever, he thought that it was an ingenious idea.

Snotlout winced and rubbed his butt as Hiccup asked, "But who do I pick to make Astrid jealous?"

"Well, this is when it becomes difficult," Snotlout said, standing up at sitting on the next chair to his right. "You want to find someone equally or more attractive than Astrid. Or a person that Astrid hates. Does anyone come to mind, Hiccup?" Hiccup thought about it for a while and then found the perfect person to make Astrid jealous...

"Heather!" Hiccup exclaimed.

"Ding, ding, ding!" Snotlout said, imitating that he was ringing a cowbell. "Heather is the perfect person because Astrid hates her. She'll think that your relationship is being threatened and come running back to you before any damage is caused," Snotlout answered, motioning Astrid running with his fingers.

Hiccup was on his way out the door when a question struck him, he turned around to ask.

"Why are you helping me?" Hiccup asked.

"What do you mean?" Snotlout replied.

"I mean, you like Astrid so why help me get her back?" Hiccup asked curiously.

"Well, because you're my friend and I want you to be happy... Plus, I'm over Astrid since you two have made it official. I've moved on to my sweet, beloved Ruffnut," Snotlout replied, smiling and looking up to the ceiling as if daydreaming about her.

As soon as he finished speaking, they heard a "BANG" on the front door. When Hiccup opened the door, they both saw Ruffnut.

"I won the head banging challenge," Ruffnut said softly as she fell, unconscious, onto the ground.

Snotlout gazed at her with a big smile on his face. "I think I'm in love." He looked at Hiccup. "Isn't she AMAZING?!"

There was too much weirdness in this room so Hiccup walked over Ruffnut and out the front door to go see Heather; on his mission to get Astrid jealous.
