Fury walked into the control center. Agents were rushing around, trying to make sure that the shields were up and that agents were where they needed to be.
"What's the status on this attack?" Fury asked.
"We have multiple jets flying around the Helicarrier, sir," Maria said, "and we just got reports that three jets have landed."
"So we're being infested."
Maria did not reply. She looked around briefly.
"Where's Josephina?" she asked.
"Where she should have been long ago," Fury replied. "In a cell."
Maria was shocked, but hid her surprise. Instead, she spoke into her earpiece.
"What's the status on the HYDRA agents that have landed?" she asked.
"Some HYDRA agents have been detected headed for the weapons vault," an agent replied. "Others have been spotted headed towards the prison and command center."
Maria looked at Fury.
"Take a team to the weapons vault," he said. "I'll send another to the prison. We can't have them letting out anyone."
Maria nodded. She pointed to several agents and told them to come with her. They walked out of the command center and down the hall.
"What's the plan of action, Agent Hill?" one agent asked.
Maria closed her eyes for a moment. She looked back at the agents.
"You all go down to the weapons vault," she said. "Make sure HYDRA doesn't get their hands on any of those weapons."
"What are you going to do? Director Fury said to go to the vault."
"I'm playing with a different hand of cards than Director Fury has dealt. Now go!"
The agents nodded and headed down another hall. Maria headed in the opposite direction; towards the prisons.
