Josephina chased the three kids around the front yard. There was laughter and squeals of joy. Josephina tagged Copper on the shoulder. He turned and chased after her. Soon, all the kids were trying to catch her. Josephina rolled onto the ground, allowing the children to tackle her. The four were busy laughing that they failed to notice Nick Fury come up behind them. Fury cleared his throat. The group in the grass looked up at him.
"Can you three give us a few minutes?" Fury asked. "Your mom is making cookies."
The three cheered and hurried towards the house. Once they were out of sight, Josephina began to stand up.
"Don't bother," Fury said.
Josephina sat back down and Fury joined her.
"Is everything alright, Director Fury?" Josephina asked.
"Yes, yes. Everything is fine. I just wanted to thank you."
Josephina looked at him, puzzled.
"For what, sir?"
"For never quitting. Even when I acted blindly, you made the right moves to save the Helicarrier and everyone on it. Including me. I failed to see that until it was nearly too late. For that, you have my thanks and apologies."
Josephina smiled at him.
"Thank you for understanding, Director," she said.
