Gerard's P.O.V
I smiled as I packed my bags. I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'm taking Frank out first. I'm taking him to a fancy restaurant. 'Gardenia' is the fanciest restaurant in this area. But I need to take a trip to the bank first. I zipped up my case then sat on the bed to call Frank. He must have been sat by the phone because it only rang once.
Frank: "Hi."
Me: "Hi,honey. How are you today?"
Frank: "I'm okay. I'm looking forward to our date or whatever it is."
Me: "Till your eighteen, it's just two friends going out. But I can't wait to call it more."
Frank: "Me too. So what dress code is it?"
Me: "Wear a nice suit or something posh. Whatever is comfortable for you."
Frank: "What time are you picking me up?"
Me: "Seven. So you have three hours. I'm going to the bank, then I'm getting sorted. I'll be on time. Unless anything goes wrong. Just don't think I'm not coming. I'll be there. Nothing should go wrong. I don't have a car to wreck this time."
Frank laughed, making me smile even wider. His laugh is adorable.
Me: "I'll see you in three hours, baby."
Frank: "Okay. See you then. Bye."
Me: "Bye, Frank. I love you."
I put the phone down before he could reply.
Shit. Too soon. Way to go, Way. Too late now. I just hope I haven't scared him off.
Twenty minutes later, I was stood in the bank. I looked around at the busy people there. The lines were pretty long. I was about eighth in line. A customer at the front of the line to my right was arguing with the bank teller. The manager had to be called over. A small, tubby, security guard joined the tall blonde woman. It looked odd. The female manager was taller and looked tougher than the ginger headed security guard.
I frowned as I watched the dark haired customer wave his hands at the blonde woman behind the counter as he snapped at her. Then I turned my eyes to the door.
Oh shit. There was three guys there. All with ski masks on and shotguns in their hands.
"Everybody on the floor." One of them shouted. "Hands laced behind your neck."
Everyone dropped to their knees and did as instructed. I had no intention of disobeying. So I did as he said.
"Don't even think of touching the alarm." He warned the staff as one of the others steered everyone to move into a group. "If everyone cooperates, no one will get hurt."
I looked up at the clock. I'm not gonna get back in time. Frank's gonna think I regretted telling him how I feel. I lowered my eyes to look at the floor infront of me. I'll just have to message him in a bit.
Two of the guys watched me and the other customers and staff while the angry customer and the other masked robber, led the manager to the tills and vaults.
Ten minutes later, sirens sounded outside. Fuck. That means I'm definitely not going to be on time. Just my fucking luck.
"Cops." The shorter robber announced.
The angry customer pushed the manager to join the rest of us. "Shit." He cursed. "I didn't want this. In and out. That's how it was supposed to be. No casualties. No hassle. Who the fuck set off the alarm?" He looked around at the staff.
"T...the security c...camera is linked t...to a local company." The manager said, nervously. "S...someone that end w...will have seen a...and called the p...police."
The robber nodded at her then his eyes dropped on....me. Brilliant. Typical.
"You." He said, pointing to me.
I looked back at him. I didn't answer.
"Your Gerard Way." He stated, grinning.
I know where this is going. Unfortunately, I was right.
"Your our ticket out of here." The taller robber grabbed my arm, pulling me to my feet just as a voice over a loudspeaker rang out:
"This is the police. Come out, unarmed, with your hands up."
Typical. Yeah, that'll work. Of course they'll do as you say. Idiots.
The angry robber grabbed my arm and led me to the doors, a handgun pressed into my left side. Why me? Why is everything going wrong for me? All I want is to be with Frank. But no. Gerard fucking Way is not allowed to be happy. I hate my fucking life.
The robber opened the door, slightly and held me infront of him while he shouted out to them. Camera flashes went off. Great. Now I'm a fucking bullet shield. Lovely.
"Back the fuck off or we start target practice on the hostages." The robber shouted by my ear. So now I get to go deaf too. Awesome.
"Okay, okay." The cop said. "What are your demands?"
"I had no intention of making demands." The robber admitted. "We were supposed to be in and out, quickly. So your going to give us some time to work it out." He pulled me back and locked the door again. "Sit back down." He ordered me.
The taller robber frowned at me. "Why choose him?" He asked angry robber.
"He's a celebrity." Angry robber answered.
"How?"
"He's lead singer for Gerard Way And The Hormones."
"Arr." Tall robber said. "I get it now. They won't want a precious local celebrity harmed. Too many angry fans to deal with then."
"Exactly." Angry robber said as he turned on the tv.
A dark haired reporter flashed on screen. The front of the bank behind him. Police surrounding the building.
The reporter began to talk: "Half an hour ago, this local bank was taken over by four masked men with shotguns." He started. "The number of hostages has not yet been released. But frontman for a local, successful band has been revealed to be amongst them. Gerard Way from Gerard Way and the Hormones was earlier used as a shield as one of the robbers talked to the police." A picture of me at the signing came on screen as he spoke. "The robbers demands are not yet clear."
I wonder if Frank has seen that. Oh god. He'll be worried if he has. Great. My day just gets better.Notes
Update. Woo.
Love as always. xxx
