His hand

entwined with

mine,

He looks at 

me

for another

glimpse,

second,

last chance,

and squeezes my

own hand with 

reassurance.

I weakly smile

at him

as he looks down

below us.

Eternity is at our feet

wanting us.

But I shall not 

let it get a grip on

me

and

him.

I step back,

pulling him with

me.

Come on, I say.

He follows, laughing with me.

Never do that

again, I tell myself.

His hand
