Today

Today,

I visited the places 

that have so many memories

of you and I

and who we used to be.

Today,

I re-lived 

the love

we used to have

that disappeared 

randomly.

Today,

I felt like 

maybe I can do this,

go on without you.

Today,

I remembered your smile

as we hula-hooped 

and goofed off

in the store

until it closed 

that night.

Today,

I remembered everything

about you

and all the little things

I loved that you 

gave me.

Today,

I cherished the thought

of at least 

being yours

for only a couple months,

than not having you at all.
