Yearn for You [poems]

i have the summer

Summertime is here and It makes me feel a little better.

Knowing that I don't have to see you everyday.

I know I'll have to face you once more next year,

but at least I have this summer,

to forget the months that made me tear.

Onetime I could not believe I had you.

Calling my name anyways,

just like we never had anything before.

I always feel a tingle when I happen to go somewhere you and I used to go,

and I try to avoid coincidences where you show up.

It's quite awkward nowadays,

knowing I'll have to deal with you anyways.

But it's nice to know I have the summer,

if not longer,

to get you off my mind.
