✶
I sat by the creaking bamboos this evening, enveloped by the cool breeze that nature brought..I sat by the tree that held memories I wish I could remember vividly. I sat underneath it as I watched the peace unfold—the quiet that I had avoided all this time because I know it is a noose that holds my neck to the memories of you. When things are bustling and chaotic, your presence stands at the back of my mind, silent but persisting. Though when things are quiet and still, it is like that presence becomes a sharp edge, digging through me—reminding me that you're gone. It becomes a broken machine that repeats the question: "What would it be like if you were still here?"
For the nth time this year, I scold myself for always taking things for granted, for taking you for granted. Thousands of moments that I let slip through my fingers because I though there would still be more. Now I'm just someone who reminisces and wonder the what ifs. Grief is such a peculiar pain, it is a thing that digs through one's heart without mercy, but the pain that it cause is a testament of love, and I wish I showed more of that when you were here.
So I sat by the place where you used to be, and let the quiet whispers of memories past through me, as I beheld the dimming sun, and let my grief set with it.
. Hey! So I've written a handful of things that I haven't put up here yet, but they're posted on my insta! Idk if I will have the time to post it here tho mwhehehe
