A new ally

I walked around on the face of Cray. "Who was that?" I looked around, and it seemed almost peaceful. Not at all like it had been for a while. The war seemed to be getting worse. Percy kept attacking all over. He seemed to drop his original clan. Now, there were dark circles surrounding him. He also now had red eyes, with black where the whites of his eyes were.

"What are you thinking about?" I looked up to see Cumin standing there.

"I was just wondering about who that unit was that saved me."

"I think she liked you."

"What?"

"Yeah. I think she really liked you. Why else would she save you?"

"Do you think she could be a new unit for Genesis?"

"Did you feel a connection to her in any way?"

"I guess I did. I don't really know if I did or didn't."

"Well then, you just have to go out and try to find her."

"You think so?"

"Of course. What else are you suppose to do? You need to see if she is a new unit to help build up the strength of our clan."

"Yeah. I guess so. Thanks Cumin." She smiled at me and giggled.

"No problem." She went skipping off after one of her cats. I went the other way to look for the lady from before.

"Hello?" I looked around, but couldn't really see anything. There was a thick mist. "Is anyone there?" I kept walking, and ran right into what felt like a wall. "What the..." Just then, I was picked up and thrown.

"What do we have here? A vanguard?" The voice started to laugh to itself. "I guess if I destroy it, my lord will be really happy with me." I heard footsteps start coming closer to me.

"Stay back. I am not afraid to fight back." I stood up, and saw a figure in the mist. "Luqiuer?"

"Wrong." I fist came out of nowhere, but was grabbed by someone else's hand.

"It is a good thing that luck is on our side." It was the lady from before. "I might have missed that if it wasn't."

"What do you want you bloody witch?!?" The other figure spit at the lady holding her hand.

"I can't just let you start fighting my vanguard and not do anything about it."

"What?" I looked at her. "You are one of my units?"

"Of course. There are some more of us that were trying to find you, but you come and go so much that we get lost. I am glad that I found you finally. Now, let me get rid of this distraction so we can get down to business." She pushed back the other girl, who just laughed.

"Come now. Do you actually think you have what it takes to fight me?"

"Maybe not them alone, but all of us together do." I turned around to see my entire army standing behind me.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We came to make sure that you are ok."

"Well thank you." I looked back at the other unit. "I think you should leave for now. You don't want to get hurt now."

"I will be back." She flashed a grin at me. "And next time luck won't be on your side."

"I wouldn't get ahead of myself now." The new unit spoke up. "With me, there will always be good luck on our side."

"Really? Why?" I looked puzzled.

"Again, something to talk about after."

"Right. Right." I looked at the other unit. "Now scram." She turned and ran off. "Hey, we all work together pretty well."

"Yeah. We will." I looked at the new unit.

"Now, who are you exactly?"

"I am the goddess of good luck, Fortuna at your service."

"The goddess of good luck? I like the sound of that."

"I have known of your arrival for a long time now. I just needed to wait for the right moment to come join you. We shall help end this war that is about to begin. There is no doubt about that." I turned to smile at the rest of my clan, but was standing in my bedroom.

"What?" I looked around, but it was no mind trick. I was really in my room. "What am I doing here?" I looked at my bedside table. There was a stack of cards resting on it. "Who are these?" I picked them up, and looked through them. "Are these all my new allies? They should help out in the future." I landed on the last card. "Hello my new friend." I looked at her affect. "What!" I just smiled to myself. "This should help me a lot."
