Cray's newest fighters

A close death

It had been about a month since my fight with Suiko, and Chris had introduced me to two of his friends, Ana and Will. It was really cool that Chris had brought them to Cray, but I was still a little nervous when either of them were here. One day, I had gone for a little walk when I I heard something in the trees. "Who is there?" I looked around, but I could already tell who it was. An Aqua Force, a tear dragon no less, walked out. "What do you want"

"My master reallly wants someone to get rid of you. I have come to do just that." He lifted up his trident.

"I don't really think that you alone will be able to beat me."

"Who said anything about me being alone?" A couple more of them walked out from the trees. "We have come to get rid of you." He motioned forward, and all of the lesser units came to attack me. "This is the end of one of the great vanguards." He sneered at me. 

"I wouldn't be so sure." I took the form of the street performer, and started to cut down the forces coming at me. "Do you like my little act? I am performing it for the first time, and just for you." I continued to kill the Aqua Force that attacked me. "Is this really all that you guys have?" Then, a vortex appeared before me, and Ana fell out right in front of the leader of this small group. 

"What do we have here?" He looked down and smiled. "Look. I get to take out two vanguards in one day. Lucky me." He raised his trident, and swung down. All that was heard was Ana's scream, and then the sound of metal hitting flesh. "What?" I was standing there, the end of the trident sticking out of my hand.

"I really don't think you should try that. Never try to kill my friends." I pushed the tear dragon back, and then looked at Ana. "Are you ok?" She looked scared. 

"We have to go. We have to find Chris. He was fighting Glory maelstrom when he sent me here in the vortex. I don't think-" She was cut off when a wave an anguish washed over the both of us. "No!" She got up and went to run, but I grabbed her around the waist. 

"We can't do anything for him now. He is in a better place." I looked back at the tear dragon, who was getting ready to throw his trident at me. "Don't even think about it." Bright white wings shot from by back. "I don't think it would be all that healthy for you." He stopped, and then turned and ran. I went back into my human form.

"He told me something before he sent me here."

"What?" She looked at me, tears in her eyes.

"You are the key. You are suppose to be the one that kills Maelstrom."

"And I will do just that. If he thinks that he can get away with the death of my friends, then he has another thing coming to him."

"What should we do?"

"You go back to Earth, and help out Will."

"What are you gonna do?" I smiled down at her.

"Kill the bastard who thinks he can mess with me and my friends." She smiled a little bit, and then I sent her back to Earth.

"Good luck." Was the last thing she told me before going back.
