I looked down at the field. Nero had his full, and his vanguard was blade wing reijy. My field only had a vanguard booster, the left side was full, and my vanguard was Yata. "I guard!" I dropped a perfect guard, and stopped the vanguard's attack. "Yata's skill. I move the card that I guarded with to the soul." I moved the perfect guard from the drop zone to the soul.

"I end my turn." I looked out of the corner of my eye, and noticed that Chris was awake.

"I stand and draw." I looked at the card that I had just drawn. "I call owl witch, paprika. I attack with Sahohime boosted by Existence angel."

"No guard. Damage check, master of the fifth element."

"Both skills. I counterblast, and add three to soul. Now, I add one more to soul. Now, I attack with my vanguard boosted by Amenohoakari. And now, Limit break! With a soul blast of nine, I draw two cards, and stand two of my rear guards." I stood up my left column.

"No guard." He looked down at the four cards in his damage zone.

"Twin drive. First check, owl witch, paprika. Second check, cyber tiger. I give the power to my owl witch, and the critical is going to stay with my vanguard." I looked back over at Chris again. He seemed distraught over something. 'I wonder what is up with him?'

"Damage check. First check, blade wing reijy. Second check, flirty succubus." Nero hung his head a little bit. "I lose again."

"It is all good. It happens." I noticed Chris walk out of the store then. "I wonder what is up with him. He seemed really worried about something while we were fighting."

"I don't know what is up."

"He looked at his cards really weird."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. I noticed him doing that during your turn."

"You sure about that?"

"Why else would I say that?"

"I don't know. I am just worried about him. I have a feeling about what happened because it happened one other time."

"Then what do you think is going on with him?"

"I think the cards of his deck are blank once more."

"What? That can happen?"

"It happens once you lose your connection to one clan, and are transitioning to another. I was lucky that I was my own avatar."

"I remember that. You looked really cool in your form." I smiled at Nero.

"Yeah. I guess that I did."

"What do you think his clan is going to be this time?"

"I really don't know. Chris has a very interesting personality. It can match many different clans."

"Well then, I guess that we are just going to have to wait."

"Yup." I picked up my cards. "Can you believe that I am still trying to perfect this deck?"

"Really?"

"Yeah. This is a relatively new deck for Genesis."

"Well I hope that you can get it ready soon enough."

"I know what you mean. I won't be any help to people if my deck isn't up to par. Maybe you should try to update your deck a little bit more."

"What do you mean?"

"Try using the break ride with your deck. Filling up the soul as fast as you an with Reijy can really be good."

"Thanks for the advice."

"No problem." I turned and went to leave.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't know yet. I feel like there is someone here that I need to help." I pulled out another deck. "And this is the deck that I am going to have to use to help that person out."
