My first tournament part 4/4

I shuffled my new deck a couple of times and then set it down on the table. "So the finals are just about to happen huh?" I looked around at the group of kids that was starting to show up. 

"Are you nervous at all?" I looked up to see the shop manager standing there. 

"Nope. All I need to do is try my hardest. Win or lose, I will still have fun." I smiled up at him.

"That is a good philosophy." He looked around until he found what he was looking for. He handed me a package. "This was left here for you. Do you know what it might be?" I thought for a second, but before I could answer, a small boy walked up to the table.

"Can we start the fight now? I need to be home before lunch." The manager just scratched the back of his head.

"Sure." He looked around. "Quite everyone." The room went silent. "The final round of the card shop tournament is about to come to an end. Fighters get ready." We cut each others decks.

"Stand up, the vanguard."

"Stand up, vanguard." I looked up at this kid. He seemed to be so cocky. I hated that.

"Lizard soldier, conroe."

"Captain nightkid."

"I go first. Stand and draw. I ride iron tail dragon. Conroe moves back." He moved him right behind the vanguard. "I end my turn."

"I stand and draw. I ride skeleton colossus. Nightkid moves back." I pulled him to my left back rear guard. "I call evil shade." I looked down at my hand. No grade 3's or 2's. "Evil shade boosts and I attack with colossus. Evil shade's skill. I put the top two cards from my deck to the drop zone to give the boost another 4000 power." I dropped the top two.

"No guard."

"Drive check, dust djinn."

"Damage check, red gem carbuncle. I give the power to my vanguard and draw."

"I end my turn."

"I stand and draw." It hit me then. 

"You are using kagero!"

"Of course I am. I was sent here just because of you." He looked at me from behind his hand. "Amaterasu sends her reguards. May I continue with my turn?"

"Of course." 'So this was the test that amaterasu had told me about.'

"I ride berserk dragon. Conroe boosts, and berserk attacks your vanguard."

"No guard."

"Drive check, blue-ray dracokid. I give the power and critical to my vanguard."

"Damage check. First check, commodor blueblood. Second check, master swordsman, nightstorm."

"I end my turn."

"I stand and draw." I looked at my hand. No grade 2's. Then I looked at my drop zone. "I use my vanguards skill. By ditching a card from my hand, I get to superior ride skeleton demon world knight!" I rode the card. "Now I call two ruin shades. I attack with my left ruin shade. I use her effect to send my top two cards to the drop zone and give her another 2000 power." I put them into the drop zone.

"I guard with red gem carbuncle."

"I attack with my vanguard boosted by evil. Evil's skill. Another 4000 power to the boost."

"No guard."

"Drive check, hook arm zombie. I give the power to my other rear guard and draw."

"Damage check, dragon monk genjo. I give the power to my vanguard and I heal."
