My first fight

I walked back into the shop the next day, deck in hand. "Good morning." I nodded in the direction of the clerk. I walked to the back where some fights were starting up already. I noticed a boy sitting at a table, waiting for something or someone. 

"Is there someone that you are waiting for?" I looked up at me.

"Not really. Just waiting to see if someone will face me." I hand tapped on my shoulder. I turned to see who it was. A girl stood there, hand on hip. 

"You won't want to face him."

"And why would that be?"

"Because he is the leader of the shops team." I turned and looked back at him. There was nothing that seemed to special about him. 

"And how would you know this?"

"Because I am on the team as well." I looked back at her. 

"Really?" 

"Yeah."

"Then, can I ask you something?"

"Whats up?"

"Can we have a fight." She just laughed at me.

"Fight some of these weaker fish first and then if you do good enough we might talk." I glared at her. 

"I will fight you." I looked back at the boy.

"Will you really?" 

"Yeah. I wanted to test out a deck anyway."

"Funny cause so did I." The girl looked at me in shock. 

"You were gonna challenge me with a test deck?"

I looked over at her and smiled at her face. "So what if I did?" I sat down at the table and looked at my opponent. "What are you testing out?"

"We will see in a moment now shall we." He looked through his deck until he found the card he wanted and set it down on the vanguard circle. I did the same. We both shuffled our decks and drew our hands.  

"Who should go first?"

"I will let you go first." I smiled at him.

"Why thank you good sir." "Stand up."

"The."

I took a quick glance at him. "Vanguard." 

"Officer cadet, Erikk."

"Officer cadet, Erikk." I looked up at him. 

"So you thought about this clan as well?"

"I have tried out every deck exept this one so why not." 

"Well I draw. I ride tear knight Theo. Using his skill, Erikk moves to my rear guard.  I end my turn."

"I draw. I ride tear knight, cyprus. Erikk moves back. I boost Cyprus with Erikk and attack your vanguard."

"No guard."

"Drive check. Navalgazer dragon."

"Damage check. Draw trigger." I put the card into the damage zone and drew a card.

"I draw. I ride tear knight, Valeria. I call storm rider basil, whale transport ship, round kairin, tear knight theo, and torpedorush dragon. I attack you with storm rider basil. His skill gives him an extra 2k power."

"I guard with sea otter soldier of pryoxene communication."

"I use basil's skill to move him and theo. I attack with with theo."
