A new form of power

I smiled up at Fortuna. She really had been bringing us good luck since she joined. There was something soothing about her being here too. She smiled back at me. "So what is it that you needed to talk to me about my vanguard?"

"Why now?"

"Why now what?"

"Why did you show up now? Why didn't you come and join us before?"

"Because everything has it's set time. It was just now my time."

"Well, I am glad that you joined up with us."

"As am I. I can feel so much power from the vanguards. But, I fear that one in particular is outshining the rest." 

"What? Who?"

"The one vanguard who seeks the destruction of the rest."

"You mean Percy."

"There is a new power on Cray. One that threatens us."

"How do you know all of this? How come Artemis hasn't heard anything?"

"Because I am good luck." She just smirked at me. 

"Well what is this new power? What is it trying to do?"

"It is not a new power exactly. You have faced it once before."

"Wait. You mean Void?"

"Yes. Void has come back. This time though, in a more powerful form than Aqua force."

"Really? It just kicked them to the curb?"

"Yes my vanguard. The power of Void has already started to affect some of the units here."

"Really? Who? Which ones?"

"Three that I know of at the moment. One from the Narukami clan. Vowing sword dragon."

"Really? What has it done to him?"

"It has changed him into a massive beast of raw power. He has been corrupted by the black rings."

"What are the black rings suppose to do?"

"It transforms those who have peen tainted with it to lose control of themselves. They become puppets of Void."

"Who are the other two units that have been affected?

"Amon and Luquier."

"No way." I sat down on the ground. "How could they?" I looked at my hands. "Void will have to pay."

"For what?"

"At one point Luquier was my avatar."

"I remember that."

"Void is going to have to fall again. I will make sure that it does." I looked back up at Fortuna.

"That is a good plan my vanguard." I could hear the laughter in her voice. 

"Shut up." I got up and playfully pushed her. She smiled at me.

"I know you will do good. You will help save us." She turned and walked away. 

"I will save you all. We will save you all." I smiled to myself as I thought about all of my friends. All the other vanguards who I knew would be a giant help.
