Oblivious!

Two weeks later. 

"Skylar, you have to get up!" Amanda says. "You start school today!" That had me bolting up. I look at my outfit that I picked out for the ride. I have skinny jeans and a light blue t-shirt. All of my stuff is packed. I swing my legs over the side of my bed. Amanda closes the door behind her. I quickly change into my outfit and put my hair in a messy french braid. My blue eyes match my t-shirt. I un-tuck my locket from underneath my shirt. I grab my stuff and head down stairs. 

Everything then happens in a blur. I grab a piece of toast off of the table and hurry around the rest of the house. After double checking every corner, I grab all of my stuff and head out to put them in one of the two cars. Out of the eight kids only three kids are going. Mark, Riley and Charlie have all graduated, and the Twins aren't old enough. The back seats in both cars are filled to the top with stuff. 

I'm riding in the first car with Amanda, Bill and Ryan. Me and Ryan are in the backseat of the car. In the other car is Jake, Anna, Ella, and Charlie. 

"Everybody ready?" Amanda asks as she hops in the car. 

"Yep," Ryan and I say together. We look at each other, knowing what to do next. "Jinx, double jinx, jinx! Stop! You first! No way! Cut it ou-"

"How about you both cut it out." Bill says. This is going to be a long car ride, I thought as we pulled out of the long driveway. 

                                                                              *2 hours later*

I stared out of the window, humming Heartbeat song, by Kelly Clarkson. We start taking a bunch of sharp turns on a road that looks like it is only used maybe twice a year. Ryan starts getting really happy. He bounces up and down in his seat. 

"I take it we're almost there?" I say to Ryan.

"Yep!" He says, popping the 'p'. I start bouncing up and down as well. Amanda pulls up to a stop in front of a small cabin. I look at it confused, but Bill and Ryan jump out of the car and race up to the cabin. "Coming Skylar?" Ryan calls. 

"Ya," I say uneasily. I hop out of the car and head to catch up with Ryan and Bill. Amanda follows closely behind me. 

"Goodbye kids, I'll see you soon!" She says with tears in her eyes. 

"Bye mum," I say into her t-shirt. I close my mouth, realizing what I had just said. I look at her and see her smile through her tears. "Is it alright that I call you Mum?" 

"Of course dear!" She seems so happy now. I hug her again and step back to let the boys say goodbye to mum. Ryan steps back and puts his arm around my shoulders as another car pulls up. Three boys come out of the car and say goodbye to the man and woman with them. They look nothing alike. One has blond hair and is very tall, another has brown hair and is median size, the other one has black hair and is also tall but not as tall as the blond hair. After they finish saying bye to the man and woman, they make their way over to me and Ryan. 

Bill just finished saying bye to mum and headed our way. "Let's head into the cabin!" Bill says. I start to move towards the cabin door, but Ryan puts more pressure onto my shoulder so I stop moving. 

"You go ahead, I'm going to introduce Skylar to my friends," Ryan explains. Bill just nods his head and heads toward the door. Once he's inside, the blond starts to talk.

"I see you've found yourself a girlfriend, Ryan!" Ryan simply shakes his head. Ryan now looks like he's going to kill somebody and I have no idea why, so I take his hand off my shoulder and place it in my hand. Heading behind him. His face softens as he looks down to me. He turns his attention back to the three boys.
