Skylar's POV!
I groan and open my eyes to find myself on the bed in the disappearing room. I try to move my arms, but find that they are pinned down to my sides. I look down and see that I'm wrapped up tightly in a blanket, making it impossible to move. I huff and try to turn over, but I just end up falling off of the bed. I moan and start to get out of the wrapped blanket, but find out that I can't. I roll around on floor trying to get out of the blanket. I finally decide that I should give the others a wake up call... so I scream at the top of my lungs and then continue rolling around on the floor. Everybody shoots upright and then looks at me down on the floor. I scream again, making everybody cover their ears. I roll over so that I'm looking at them to see them laughing at me. I pout and then scream again. Whoops, was that me?
"Jammmeeeeesssss, Ryannnnnnnnnnnnn will you guys help me?" Ryan shakes his head no, and so does James. I turn towards James and since he hasn't seen my puppy dog face before, I give it to him. He rolls his eyes and comes over, but doesn't unwrap me like I thought... instead he starts tickling me. I try to hold in my laughter and it works until he starts tickling me underneath my ribs. "Please - laugh - uncle - laugh - stop - laugh - please - laugh - sorry!" With that, he stops tickling me and unwraps me from the blanket. I stand up and then run around the room screaming my head off. I chant over and over again that I'm free. The tenth time around, somebody picks me up and then we start walking down to the eating hall. I struggle in that persons arms, but then decide it is no use to even try getting down. I turn and look up at my kidnapper and find that it is James. I should have know!
"James, please put me down?" He shakes his head no, so I just cross my arms and huff. I look over to see Ryan walking slowly behind us so I yell at him. "RYAN COME UP HERE, JAMES WON'T LET ME DOWN AND I NEED SOMEBODY TO TALK TO!" He shakes his head at me before coming up next to us.
"Sky, you need to stop screaming and yelling all the time!" I huff and cross my arms before I remember that I have already crossed them. Dang you llamas! We make it to the eating hall, but James still doesn't put me down. Instead, he somehow flings me over his shoulder and walks up to Morgan, the evil Headmaster! People have turned to look at us, so I just wave at everybody around me. Instead of directing his question at Morgan, he directs it at his Headmaster whats it face.
"Headmaster Brook, where do I sit?" Before Headmaster Brooks can answer, I whisper in James ear to let me down. He finallllyyyyy agrees, but wraps his arms around my waist. I scowl, but then smile up at the non evil Headmaster. He smiles back down at me and for some reason looks familiar to me.
"Well since you just disappeared last night for no reason, you missed the speech Headmaster Morgan prepared for us." I growl at the Headmasters name causing Morgan to turn around and glare at me. If you expected me to back down, then you're wrong because I glared right back at him. "You can sit at whatever table you want to, and there have been three new floors added for us to sleep on. Your friend here can show you where the fifth floor is. You don't have to sleep there, but can if you want to."
"Thanks!" The Headmaster nods his head before starting a conversation with Professor Leon. James lets go of my waist, but then grabs my wrist and drags me over to Ryan and everybody else. I pull my wrist out of his grasp before skipping over to where Ryan is seated. I sit down next to him and James sits down on my other side. I feel someone glaring at the back of my head so I turn around and come face to face with Matthew. I swing my legs over the bench before standing up.
"What do you want Matthew?" I ask him with as much venom possible in my voice.
"Everything to do with you Brown! Wondering if you've found any information on your parents." My face turns stone cold. "Because if I were you, I'd be searching everywhere to find something about your past! Mostly in the library, but I don't think you'd have much luck there!" He sneers at me.
"That's cold Matthew, even for you! And at one point in my life, I thought that you were a decent guy, but guess that I was wrong. Wow, I'm so stupid!" I say turning around.
"Ya you are!" Matthew barely mumbles. That was my last straw. I turn around with my hair whipping behind me and punch him in the nose. To say he looked surprise is not doing his facial expression justice. He narrows his eyes and is about to speak again, but I just knee him in the stomach, stomp on his foot and then push him away from me. I turn back around and sit down at the bench and start eating a piece of toast like nothing happened.
"Skylar Brown please come up here!" I turn around and look the evil Headmaster in the eye.
"No, I'm quite comfortable down here!"
"It wasn't a question!" He says with narrow eyes.
"But I answered it like one, so I win and you lose, like how it's going to be in the end," I reply with a sarcastic smile. He eyes turn into a glare, so I just glare back at him. I don't know how long this goes for, but Ryan pulls me away and out of the hall. "I was having a glaring contest, but you just pulled me away! That's against the rules!" I say smacking him on the arm.
"You shouldn't be making it so clear that you hate his guts." I look at him confused. "If he disappears like the last Headmaster, than who will they think to blame?"
"But I liked the real Headmaster, this one I just don't trust... and don't like! Everybody doesn't like a certain teacher and mine just so happens to be the 'Headmaster'!" I sigh angrily and lean against the wall.
"Just don't go around glaring at him all the time. Try not to let him get to you! One question, how did Matthew know about you finding out information about your parents?"
"He gave me the book..." I say quietly. I look up at him and see him trying to hold in his anger. "Don't worry, he just came up to me in the library asking what I was looking up. He then walked away, but not before leaving the book on the counter. I was curious so I walked over and read it. No big deal!" I say with a forced smile.
"Of course it's a big deal. He knows about you and your parents!" I don't know why I never realized it before, but who gave him the book?
"Somebody knows about me now, because I doubt that that book would just happen to be in Matthews hands by coincidence. We got to keep Riley a secret!" I try to rush back into the hall, but Ryan grabs my wrist.
"Matthew most likely knows who that person is, and will tell whoever it is about you and since he also knows who Riley is, that person most likely knows about her as well. All we have to do is to try and keep you safe from whoever it is. And we also need to keep Riley safe, because as of right now, we have no idea who or why they want you or Riley! We just need more information before we continue on!" He says in one breath. I nod my head slowly and he releases my wrists. A realization hits me like a truck! Tomorrow is the winter ball! And I have to wear a dress! *gets down on knees, throws arms back and looks up towards the sky yelling in headWHY LLAMAS WHY!!!*
