Skylar's POV

We walked up to school like a boss that day. We thought that people would believe us. Believe our story. But it doesn't go like that. They think that we lied. After all, it was only a story. Except for the cuts and bruises on our bar skin, what evidence did we have?

It was a month ago. But now, I look around the girls room. We made it go back to original size and decoration because we may not be getting it back. Tears prickle my eyes, but don't fall down, at the thought of never coming back to this room. An idea pops into my head, so I head over to the bed that was mine, and press my fingers against the headboard in the top corner.

I drag my finger in a cure so that it makes an S, I do a dot and then an A, another dot and an B appears. S.A.B. I smile at it and sit there for a long time. The door opens and Del, Lily and Riley come in.

"Whatcha looking at?" Del asks.

"I carved my initials into the headboard incase we don't get this room again."

"Do you think we could do ours with our earth power?" Lils asks. I nod my head, and they start on theirs. It worked.

"We do have to get going though!" I look at my phone and see that we are about to miss it.

"K, let's go." We all head out the door and for the last time this year, make our way to the black thing.

"Verum Amicitia!" I say to the wall. It means true friendship in latin. We step onto the black thing, and it immediately speeds up. Not thirty seconds later, we arrive at the cabin. We step out and head over to the boys. "You guys are coming over sometime in the summer, right?" Del, Sam, Riley, Kyle and Matt nod their heads. I couldn't bare it anymore, so I tackle Riley and Del to the ground in a hug. "Stay safe, ya?" I ask them as I stand up and grab their hands to pull them up as well. I give them a small side before looking up to the sky. A couple of grey clouds are in the sunny side. Lils looks up as well.

"The world is changing? Isn't it?" I nod my head reluctantly.

"The world is changing... and not it's not a good thing." Mum's car pulls up to the cabin.

"GROUP HUG!" Kyle yells. We all laugh, the tension gone as we hug each other. Bill rushes past us and into the car. Mum honks the horn, so we all let go of each other. I pick my things up off of the ground and chuck them in the trunk. I tap my stone once and bring it up to my mouth once I'm in the car.

"Let's not tell anybody else about what happened to us... they'll think we're crazy," I whisper into it. I look up at them and see them nod their heads. I slide into the middle as Ryan sits on one side and Lils on the other.

"How was the end of the year?" Mum asks.

"It was pretty boring," Ryan answers. Lils and I snort into our hands. Mum shoots us a glance. Boring is the complete opposite of the end of the year. Of the whole year even. I look out Lils window and see the grey clouds moving slow, but it also seems like the clouds are moving at an alarming rate. Darkness is coming, and it will corporate the world. Yet, nobody wants it to. Nobody wants to admit that the world could go down in flames. Literally.

But I know that no matter what happens, my friends will always, always be by my side when I need them to be.

After all, it's only goodbye for now.
