"She's like the anti-Christ." I mumbled, referring to my ex-best friend as she trotted by with her posse in tow.

My classmate Gabrielle cackled at my comment, waving before continuing on her way to her class, leaving me standing alone in the half-empty hallway.

Why did somebody who I used to have sleepovers with in kindergarten hate me so much? I had absolutely no clue.

What I did know is that she did, and I was somewhat glad. Garnet was one of the biggest bitches you could ever meet.

Of course, the blonde twins she's befriended are hanging on her every word. I thought, rolling my eyes in disgust.

I had to walk by her to get to my next class, and she knew it. There was no way I was getting past her and the barbie twins without some sort of altercation.

"Bliss!" She called out, her voice sickeningly sweet.

Supressing a sigh, I turned to face her. "Yes Garnet?" I used a similar tone, but either she didn't notice, or didn't care.

"Is it true that you did the whole football team for extra cash?" She giggled, flipping her blonde hair over one shoulder. The twins - Amy and Carly - laughed mockingly from behind her, narrowing their matching green eyes in contempt.

"Oh..." I pretended to look upset, before letting a smile slip through. "Sorry honey. I think that was you." Her mouth opened slightly, eyes widening as a few onlookers shouted 'ooh.'
"But, wait. " I continued. "You made me promise not to say anything though, right? Wouldn't want your boyfriend finding out."

Garnet's aqua-colored eyes narrowed into slits, and I could have sworn steam shot out of her ears as angry red patches appeared on her cheeks.

"You'll pay for this, bitch!" She called after me as I stalked past her to my next class, completely ignoring her ridiculous comment.

She always assumed that because I wasn't popular anymore that it wouldn't matter what she said, I would take it either way. She was clearly wrong.

I wasn't worried. Garnet was one of those people that would threaten you on numerous occasions, without actually following through.
You see, I was always the one that made up the revenge plans, seeking people to help carry them out, and paying them ridiculous sums of cash.

Garnet never did have the brain-power for that sort of thing.

The next day, I went through all of the school-related motions and nothing unusual happened, just as I'd predicted. Garnet had more bark than bite.

When the bell final bell rang I dragged myself toward the door where Andy, a boy from my Calculus class was standing, waiting for his older brother Kyle. It seemed that wherever one was, the other would inevitably show up.

As I passed, Andy's voice stopped me in my tracks. his words forcing a shiver up my spine.

"Be careful." He whispered. I whipped around to face him, but he was looking away down the corridor, his dark hair blocking me from really seeing his face. Had he actually spoken to me? I'd never heard him so much as utter a sentence the whole time we'd been in school together.

Frowning, I shrugged it off and continued past the stairwell to the window, muttering a "not likely."

Gabrielle was supposed to pick me up, and the window had the best view of the parking lot without actually being outside. Garnet and her so-called 'friends' took over the courtyard after school, posing like the wannabes they were.

My gaze swept across the parking lot, expecting to find her terrorizing some freshmen, but she wasn't among the group of hand-picked girls she'd chosen for her friends after my fall from popularity.

I suspected she was probably off hooking up with the quarterback under the bleachers behind her boyfriend's back.

Trey will find out soon enough, I thought. Especially when I send him the pictures of her and Ethan.

As I turned away from the window to lean on the wooden railing over the stairs, an evil grin spread across my face as I scrolled through the pictures I'd snapped upon catching the two together.

"Told you I would make you pay, bitch." Came Garnet's voice out of nowhere, and I jumped a little.

I glanced up to see her seething, hands on hips, aqua eyes flashing with rage. I smirked slightly, completely out of habit, and not at all because I was thinking about when I would send Trey the pictures.

"How're you gonna do that, babe." I cooed, crossing my arms over my Guns 'n' Roses T-shirt.

She just smiled sweetly. "Bye, Bliss."

I opened my mouth to ask if she wasn't psychotic, but she reached out two overly-tanned orange arms and shoved me. Caught completely off-guard, I didn't have time to react, and fell backwards over the railing toward the stairs on the lower floor.

The last thing I saw before I hit the bottom was Garnet's smirking face, her icy beauty revolting.
