I ranted out loud to Cassie who stood on the opposite of the counter. She sipped on her red whine, shaking her head.
"I told you to let that shit ride. You know how crazy he get about you" I scoffed causing her to put her hands up in surrender.
"don't do allat to me na' you know I'm going keep it real. What 35 thousand to you and your man give you that just to go out with." she was right but I looked at it as working, I still wanted to work. I still wanted to do hair, still wanted money from brands, I was making good money. Good money that I wasn't even touching, so I was just letting it stack. I think that's why I couldn't just stop and be a stay at home mom. I liked having my own money.

"I guess but yea I'm wit him on this baby" she said I rolled my eyes sipping on my wine. I was getting irritated I needed something stronger this. I got up making sure to pull my shorts down someas they had rose all the way up into my ass.
"I need a shot" I huffed out and Cassie laughed.
"I know you not that stressed it ain't nun but 12 and you pick up kai in like two hours." She reminded even know I didn't need a reminder. I had enrolled my baby in daycare just at the simple fact that I wanted my baby to play with kids. I was sad at first and didn't want too but seeing how bubbly kai is now made me think I made the right choice.
"I knowww.... I don't wanna get fucked up" I told her pulling out a bottle of patron, unopened. "Bless it" I told her and she did. I opened it, quickly taking a swing then passing it to her. My face scrunched up off the taste it almost made me wanna gag.
"Eww" Cassie said as she took a swing. "Fuck how long u been having this ? Strong as hell" she said and I chuckled.
"Since my birthday, girl it ain't that bad take a shot"
"Unt unt bitch my man not ignoring me bitch I don't gotta get tore up fa' nobody" she said shaking her head as I slid the bottle to her.

"Oh girl." She said playfully rolling her eyes before she downed another shot. "See I don't know even know why you got me started knowing I don't know how to stop. Goin head text night tell em to get kai"

"Duh about kai he is" she said and I nodded. She was right. He didn't play about her. I picked my phone up tapping on his contact name. Seeing all my double texts with not one reply from him. It had been 2 days
"Night can you pick up kai from daycare today" I pressed send, staring at my phone for a few seconds I seen the word bubble pop up
Meaning he was typing. "K" was his response. I huffed .
"What he say? no ?" Cassie asked in a concerning voice and I shook my head.
"He said k like he just the sent letter k like oh my gosh" I said showing her my phone.
"Girl if u don't act like u know. Get done up before he drops Kiari off have some sexy on, you know he goin ask you where you going and all typa of shit then you know the rest. He so easy when it come to you I don't even know why you be fake sad thinking he goin' leave you. The way he act about you, it's literally death do yall part. It's cute...sometimes erkin...scary at timess..." she trailed off making us both cackle cause night was scary at times.
