*My Note to You*

I finished my first book today.

My hands are still shaking.

This journey... it was exciting, scary, exhausting. I poured years of myself into it. I took a lot of time because Rani sa deserved that. She wasn't easy to write. She kept breaking on the page, just like she did in life.

I didn't want to write another fairytale where the princess is rescued. I wanted to show you how a woman actually _lives_. How she bleeds. How she doubts. How she goes from being her father's little girl in Bhawanigarh, to surviving 11 hours of labor, to holding her own daughter and whispering _ashma bhava_.

I tried to show her troubles - the ones we don't talk about. The loneliness, the stubbornness, the fear of being too much and not enough, all at once.

If you saw yourself in her... if you remembered your own Bapu sa while reading... if you held your breath when she did... then this book was worth every sleepless night.

*For Rana sa*

Writing him was the hardest part of this book.

Because how do I put a man like him on paper?

The one who never asked her to be smaller to fit his world.
The one who watched her bleed, break, and still looked at me like she was made of gold.

He weren't the hero who saved her.

He were the one who stood back and let her save herself

While making sure she knew he would catch her if she fell.

So this book ends here. But you don't.
You're in every stubborn like Rani sa says.
You're in every battle she wins.
You're in the way our daughter will walk through this world - unafraid.

Thank you for Reading

This story is Rani sa's and Rana's
