Today, I saw her for the first time in two years.

Her hair was a lot shorter compared to before. Her skin was whiter and her body was skinnier and curvier.

She was headed to her favorite coffee shop. I was on my way to the store nearby.

I immediately hid behind the closest thing that can block me from her view. I peeked to see her. She was still in the exact spot. She didn't move an inch. She stood there as if she was waiting for someone.

I closed my eyes and let out a sigh.

Gago, magpakita ka!

I found myself slowly walking towards her. I opened my mouth to call her name when a pair of strong arms made its way around her waist.

I froze.

She looked back at the man I did not recognize. A smile was formed in her lips. She turned around and he kissed her forehead. Her smile grew wider. He threw his head back, laughing at something she had said. He placed his arm on her shoulders and pulled her closer to him (as if it were possible) as they entered the coffee shop, whispering things I couldn't hear.

She's petite but with him, she looked even smaller.

I looked around and then I realized that I was in the same shop. It looks like my feet has a mind of its own.

I stood at the back of the line, waiting for my turn to order.

I scanned the room and my eyes found her as she pulled out a book from her bag and wore her glasses. She leaned back on the chair and opened the page.

Then I knew, she was gone. Out of this world and into the world of the story she was currently reading.

"Sir?" The girl at the counter called my attention. I looked at her and she gave me a small smile. "May I take your order?"

I told her my usual drink and she quickly punched it. She asked me to wait while they make my order. I took a seat at the corner. Somewhere she couldn't see me but I could still watch her.

A drink was handed to her and she looked up. A smile immediately formed in her lips when she saw the guy a while ago. She got it and mumbled thanks. The guy sat down, in front of her, his back facing me.

From where I sat, you can still tell that his body was well built. His shoulders were broad, his arms were toned. Not too much but enough for her liking. He was the type of guy she reads in her books.

My name was called and I stood up to take my drink. I sat back down at my chair after that. I took a sip and resumed to what I was doing a while ago.

She was laughing while shaking her head. She squealed a no while he leaned into her and pinched her cheek. She pushed his hand away and laughed even harder. They talked and no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't hear anything they were saying. He got the book on top of the table and started reading the summary at the back. He opened to the first page and perused the book. She got her drink and took a sip. Her eyes stayed on him. She smiled and it made my heart break a little.

That is the way she looks at someone whom she truly loves. I know because that is the way she used to look at me.

I couldn't take it anymore. Why am I punishing myself, anyway?

I took my drink and stoop up. I turned around and was headed to the exit when a hand took hold of my elbow. I looked back and then there she was. She was staring at me, her hand still on my elbow, and she had a huge smile on her face.
