Pearl and I walk into math together and sit in the very back of the classroom. The teacher, Mrs. Quartz-Universe, was going on and on about fractions.. I wasn't really paying much attention to the lesson. Pearl on the other hand couldn't get en
ough of it. Math really is her other half...
"Hey fatty!" Someone loudly whispered in my ear, but not loud enough for Pearl to hear. "Ya know, your girlfriend doesn't really care about you. Who would ever care about a fat runt like you anyways?" The voice belonged to Alexandrite, the school drama queen. I just put my head down on the desk as silent sobs racked my body.
'She's right... no one in their right mind would care about me...'
Pearl looked over at me and put her hand on my back.
"Ame.. you okay?" I quickly shook my head and got up from my seat. I went to the front of the class and asked the teacher if I could go to the bathroom, and left.
Pearl's POV
I watched Amethyst leave the classroom, I excused my self to head down to the nurse. I wasn't feeling like myself today, so it was a good excuse.
