~~~Quote: "On September 11 2001, America felt its vulnerability even to threats that gather on the other side of the Earth. We resolved then...And we are resolved today...confront every threat from any source that could bring sudden terror and suffering to America", Former 43rd US President George W(alker) Bush, Junior, (July 6, 1946-); 46th Texas Governor, (1995-2001), unquote~~~
Like 9/11, the events in Texas mirrored JFK's assassination. It was a cover-up. But, even though JFK's killers in the White House; CIA; and DOD, (Department of Defence), were shadowy figures intent on power, RFK was shivering in the first three years after his brother's assassination. In fact, as African-American Muslim leader Malcolm X, (May 19, 1925 – February 21, 1965), known as "El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz", and the Reverend Martin Luther King, Junior, and Rosa Parks, paraded with RFK, as Vietnam dragged more bodies of US soldiers to their deaths in the deep jungles, and the deaths of three civil rights protestors James Earl "J.E." Chaney, (May 30, 1943 – June 21, 1964)-a native of Meridian, Mississippi; Andrew Goodman, (November 23, 1943, – June 21, 1964); and Michael Henry Schwerner, (November 6, 1939 – June 21, 1964), were hanged by the KKK, (Ku Klux Klan), on June 21, 1964, during "The 1964 Freedom Summer", which promoted voter registration for African-Americans in The Deep South.
      But, like Hitler, the KKK, a member of  the racist organisation, Edgar Ray "Preacher" Killen, (January 17, 1925-), was arrested and charged with triple manslaughter charges. The date was:  June 21, 2005, over the three civil rights activists deaths. By January 12, 2007, aged 82, he was sentenced to two decades in prison thanks to the  Mississippi Supreme Court, where he is still incarcerated.
And, as the climate of fear deepened by 1965-6, Charles Whitman's behaviour was so terrifying that it was not the KKK that Texans feared; it was an Ex-Marine that they feared.
By 11:35 AM, on August 1, 1966, Charles Whitman saw  Security Guard Jack Rodman, (b?). He showed him a false ID that stated, quote, "He was a 'Research Assistant'", which was untrue. He then was shown on his way. He got a parking permit for only 40 minutes. He rolled a dolly which was rented, and reached the Building without any interference.
     The first stage of the killings was now over.
Then elevator worker, Vera Palmer, (b?), spoke to Charles Whitman. "What floor, Sir?", she asked. "The 27th, near the clock face, Miss...You don't know how happy that makes me; how happy that makes me", he answered. Vera made sure the power was on. She saw Charles Whitman, the all American Boy, and ex-Marine, smile. He lugged his weapons up with the dolly. He then walked a short distance to a "dog-legged stairway". Once he did see receptionist Edna Townsley, 51, she spoke. *This is what I think what happened*.
       TOWNSLEY: "CAN I SEE SOME ID, SIR?", she asked.
       CHARLES WHITMAN: "I DON'T NEED IT", he answered.
        TOWNSLEY: "But you must-", she insisted.
         CHARLES WHITMAN: "I need to go up...The view's nice...But, some people are not worthy of my time. Have you seen the jungles of Vietnam? Pure jungle. Everyone's carrying guns. And, to me, you can't know who the enemy is? Hell, you see, I'm sick. Now, please let me in", he said.
          TOWNSLEY: "ID! OR ELSE I'LL CALL THE SECURITY", she said.
          CHARLES WHITMAN: "Shit, I know you're doing your job...But I am not going to waste my bloody time with you", he raised his voice slightly. Then he murdered her. Once Townsley's body was dumped out of sight, Charles Whitman did as he wanted to do. He reached near the top of The Texas Bell Tower, grabbed his guns, and begun shooting.
