Is it happy?
How it stares at me.
Should I follow its' example?
Even if it is fake?
It does smile.
Out of happiness?
Or as a mask?
Which one is it?
As it stares, what does it think?

Gladly I would smile back at it.
If only I was happy.
I cannot disguise the anguish inside.
Breaking as it smiles at me,
Are you pleased at my despair?
All you do is smile back at me.
Can you not tell?
Have you no compassion?
Then is it you, telling me to smile despite it?
Smile... Smile...
Smile because it hurts.
Smile because it's okay that it hurts.
Smile because I am here and you are here.
No taunt with no anger.
