Little lamb
White as snow
How beautiful you are
Clad in innocence. How I wish to go near
Yet I fear to step forth
For you see what I am
Will make you flee. Thus from a far I stare
Paralyzed in one spot
As I see you move away
Little by little each day.In my desperation,
Wishing to be close to you,
I dared leap forth
Closer than ever before.Forgive my rashness
Sweet little lamb,
Yet fret not for I found
An excellent disguise.Beside you I found
A strangely unique happiness
One only maintained
In the darkness of secrecy.I fear as each day passes
You might find what I hide,
Under a careful pretense
I know to behave.Oh gentle little lamb!
You do not know
How I wish to bury
My fangs in your lovely coat.It is in your delightful scent
Which entices me closer
Almost causing me to forget
My sharp and terrible claws.No, I mustn't!
I shall not harm
The little lamb
I have come to love.My darling lamb
Time has sped by
I can no longer remember
A time without you.Your image overpowers
All my natural senses;
Slowly I know
I shall be no threat to you. However I have found
A slight miscalculation;
I know quite well
I'm not what I appear to be.And as I stare into
Your dark and lovely eyes,
I am finally able to see
what you truly are.
