Time has passed slowly by
As I waited patiently;
Though there were times
My heart did strain
For it could wait no more.
There were painful moments
When my heart almost shattered,
Yet there were also joyful times
When my heart did skip.
Ever still my heart did wait
Stubbornly unwilling to let go
It forced its way through...
Hoping to resound one day
The praises of the Love
It so gingerly held within.
Thus now I stand here
Knees shaking, palms anxious,
Ears perked to hear your words
While muting my own.
