Vikram's POV

When I was in the training I remember staring at the box containing my belongings especially my phone.

My only connection to Anu.

Gone.

Just like that for 20 fucking days.

There was no way.... no way I could survive that. I regret every second of my decision and that bastard friend of mine how could he forget to mention we weren't allowed to use our phones?

And how the heck he was fine with not talking to his girlfriend for that long?

If anything I was going crazy but that bastard was enjoying every minute of it.

And to be honest the outcome wasn't even worth it.

How can it be when you found out your girlfriend just blocked you?

I was really hard on myself. I pushed myself to train hard just so I could stop these thoughts before it had completely ruined me...

Had I known that I would be facing these kinds of consequences I would never have agreed.

Never.

Not for a second.

To be honest the first week was hell, it was brutal.

The second week was even worse and then the next week slowly I got used to the pain. The physical and mental exhaustion was horrific but it somehow kept my sanity at check.

Every day felt endless.

The only reason I didn't lose my mind completely was because Aiden was there too. Even then it wasn't enough, because every night my thoughts returned to her.

What was she doing?

Was she okay?

Did she miss me?

Was she thinking about me?

I couldn't call....couldn't text and fuck I couldn't get to hear her voice... for the first time in years I felt helpless.

Not physically but emotionally.

And so damn pathetically.

These 20 days felt like twenty years. Everyday I counted down, every single day. Until finally.. the freedom of getting out.

The moment training ended I ran towards my belongings and in between tripped down while reaching there. But nothing stopped me from getting what I needed at that moment I felt like I could finally breathe again. They all laughed and patted my shoulder.

Of course they knew how miserable I was there. I didn't care about anything I just wanted to hear her damn voice or else I will go insane. I pushed past everyone and grabbed my phone kneeling down while breathing heavily.

"Easy down there tiger" Aiden laughed while grabbing my shoulder to steady me up.

My hands trembled while opening my phone and when it finaly did. There were dozens of business messages, company calls, family messages... mom....dad but as I scrolled past down there was not even a single call or a message from the person I craved the most.
