Maddies POV
I look around, wishing my brother was here with me. The air smells of dust and blood and I shiver, I wonder what Bailey is doing right now. I hope he is safe and well, I know Aiden will keep him safe from himself. I sigh, I left my brother to walk straight into a trap and he didn't even know.
I hear a slight noise from my right and I tense, all my life I've been running from the hunters that want every werewolf killed. I know now that this will be my last days, the hunters won't keep me around forever.
"Hello?" I shout.
I don't hear a reply, the light that filters through the window does nothing to light the place. I glance at my cuffs, they are silver. I pull my hardest, the cuffs don't even budge never mind break.
I feel my blood cake the cuffs but I ignore it, I need to get out of here. Bailey will tear the world apart for me, I don't want him to die because of me.
"Maddie?" I hear someone yell. My hope raises.
"Jace?" I yell back.
I hear a cough then the sound of someone dragging their body across the ground. I pull at my cuffs again, trying to get to Jace.
The place is dark and cold, I hope Jace is okay even though I know he was on the verge of death. My body becomes weak as my blood continues to flow down my cuffs, mixing my blood with silver.
I hear something break, like metal on metal. I hope that Jace is okay and that he is going to get us out of here, his pack is like a werewolf SWAT and if they can't get out of this then I don't really think they should be helping others.
Someone walks towards me and I cringe against my cuffs, not wanting to be hurt. My head snaps up as soon as I catch the persons scent, it's Jace.
"Thank god, Jace?" I say, my hopes have just rocketed.
"yeah, let's get you out of here" He replies.
