Maddies POV

I'm over-joyed when Bailey wakes up, my mind has been in chaos trying to make sense of the strange connection we now have. I watch as he gingerly sits up, pain flashes across his face but he hides it as soon as it appears.

"You want some water?" I ask with worry in my voice.

"Please" he swiftly replies. I nearly gasp when he answers me, I knew he could talk.

I walk out of the room, I hope he will stay in the bed but I know my brother as well as I know myself. I pour out some water and turn around, Bailey grips the edge of the sofa. I roll my eyes and set the glass down, I run over to him before he can fall over and rip all his stitches.

"You're in idiot, you know" I say, annoyance thick in my voice.

"Yeah, but I didn't want to say in that room" He replies laughing.

I roll my eyes and makes sure he is okay before rushing back to get his water. The light streams through the window and I watch as Bailey tilts his head towards the light.

Jace and Aiden tear through the kitchen and startle Bailey, he jumps up into a crouch and I sigh. I guess he is still a bit jumpy.

"Sorry bro" Aiden says.

"Don't worry" He replies with a small smile.

I walk into the living room and watch Jace turn on the TV, the three boys sit around it and watch the football.

"That's so boring, why do you watch it" I ask, curious.

"Because it's on" They reply in unison.

"oh" I say like it explains everything.

Jace jumps up and hugs me, I hug him back and shiver. I remember how we were trapped, I never want to be like that again.

"Jace, will you teach me how to fight?" I ask, making sure the others can't hear.

"Yeah, if you want to" He replies.

"I do" I nod, My life will never be in the hands of anyone again.
