Jax was getting quite sick of parties.

Gilly, the traitor, had went off to wingwoman Kayla in her quest to win over some kid from RA. Ollie was at the buffet, and Jax felt really uncomfortable getting in between whatever was happening between Ollie and that patty cake. Maxine was with some other girls from RA. Jocelyn was... well, Jocelyn. AG was talking to some fancy people.

That left Jax alone, nursing a cup of spiked kool-aid. By spiked he meant someone had dumped a bucket of sugar in it. It was disgusting, but also making him feel weirdly energized, so he would take it.

His eyes flicked around the room, trying to find anyone interesting he could talk to. Gilly was always telling him to 'get out there', which was easy for her to say, considering she already had a girlfriend. She was a hero, everyone wanted her.

Jax, meanwhile, couldn't fish out any real people, boys, girls, or other (he would take anyone at this point), from the crowd of overwhelming fakeness.

Well, there was one person he would take. Unfortunately, that one person had ghosted him, so yeah, he was basically out of luck.

He took another sip of the disgusting drink. He was sure his lips were bright red by now.

"Well, you look lonely," A voice said from behind him. Jax sighed and turned around.

"Heathcliff," Jax bit out. "What do you want?"

"A dance, of course, with a pretty blonde." Heath's blue eyes sparkled with mischief. He may have looked like a prince to others, but Jax knew that he was really a devil.

"Go find someone else to bother," Jax rolled his eyes. "I'm not interested."

"You were interested a month ago," The demon smirked. Jax scowled. This bitch had some nerve.

"That was before you ghosted me," He snapped. "I don't want to talk to you."

Heath frowned. "The fuck are you talking about?"

"I sent you a letter after I got yours, and you never replied, that's what I'm talking about," Jax said slowly, figuring it would help Heath process, what with him having a brain the size of a phytoplankton.

"You didn't send me any letters," Heath's nose scrunched, and Jax did not find it endearing, not at all. "I figured you just forgot, or had some prince shit or something."

Jax blinked. "So, it just... got lost, then? So you didn't ghost me?"

Heath grinned, suddenly, and put a hand to his heart. "Oh, Jaxy, you poor thing. You're ego must've taken a real hit, thinking I ghosted you? Don't worry, Jaxon, I would never."

Jax's cheeks burned. "Get the fuck away from me, you weirdo."

"Is that what you want?" Heath raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow. Even his eyebrows were attractive, holy shit. Jax swallowed his pride, and pulled Heath back by the wrist.

"Try the KoolAid, it's total shit." Jax shoved the cup into Heath's hand.

"Sure thing, cutie," Heath teased, poking Jax's reddened cheek. Jax swatted his hand away, and watched as Heath took a sip.

Heath's whole face scrunched up as he spit it back into the cup.

"Oh, Heath, gross, I was drinking that," Jax sighed.

"I'm doing you a favor," Heath muttered, placing the cup on a nearby table. "That's diabetes and 20 cavities in one cup, baby."

"Even grosser, don't call me that."
