Annabeth POV
"Congrats!" I said to Piper, giving her a hug. She just told me that Jason proposed. Today was the perfect day, the sun was out with a cool breeze, and I was in a good mood. I checked my watch and it read: 12:24.
"Crap" I said "I promised Percy I would meet him at the beach at 12:30"
"Okay" said Piper cheerfully, "see you later" I smiled at her and turned, but before I could start walking Piper grabbed my arm and said,
"Wait, Annabeth I have a question. How would you like to be my Maid Of Honor?"
"I would love to!" I said giving her another hug. I ran to my cabin and changed into a black and white polka dotted bathing suit with red flip flops and a white over dress. I grabbed my sunglasses and headed to the beach.
When I got there i saw Percy waiting on the sand watching the ocean. I sat down next to him and kissed him on the cheek. He smiles but didn't look away from the water.
"You know the only thing I like more than looking at the ocean is looking at you" he said. He looked at me and smiled.
"C'mon" he grabbed my hand and we dive into the water. There were so many interesting fish and plants, that I never get tired at looking at. Percy made a bubble around us and we kept swimming.
After we got tired, I suggested we build a sand castle. I must say it was one of the best architectural sand castles I've ever seen. Percy claimed he was hungry so we walked back over to the towels, and ate some peanut butter crackers.
"What's that?" Asked Percy pointing to a large ship out on the ocean.
"I think it's a cruse ship" I answered. It reminded me of the Princess Andromeda. The same ship where Charlie Beckendorf died. I know Percy was thinking the same thing because he rapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head. We stared out into the ocean for a bit until I felt Percy remove his arms from me. I gave a small smile at the memory of Beckendorf, and turned around. At that moment I saw Percy on one knee holding a box. My eyes widened and I dropped the peanut butter cracker I was holding.
"Annabeth, from the very start I considered you as more than just my best friend. Through all of the quests and obstacles I know that you have always been there. You are truly the most beautiful woman I have ever met, and I've met Aphrodite. Annabeth Chase I love you, and will you marry me?" Finished Percy. Tears were now streaming down my face as I jumped into Percy's arms and whispered,
"Yes! I love you Seaweed Brain!"
"I love you too, Wise Girl, and I always will"
