Annabeth POV
"C'mon, Percy" I said tugging on his arm. Percy was finishing up a sword fight. One of the Apollo campers said that he could beat Percy in a sword fight, Percy just laughed and said that he could beat him with one hand. The Apollo camper expected the challenge, and they have been battling for at least 15 minutes. Although I could tell that Percy was totally going easy on him.
"C'mon Perce, Chiron wanted to see us at the big house five minutes ago" I complained.
"Fine" said Percy. I let go of his hand, and he disarmed the kid in 6 seconds flat. The kid stared, and Percy flashed him a smile.
"Maybe I'll see you around" said Percy. He turned back to me and took my hand.
"C'mon Annabeth, you said Chiron wanted to see us?" He asked. I nodded, and we started walking towards The Big House.
"Chiron?" Called Annabeth, as we walked through the door.
"Ah yes children, glad you came, I have a favor to ask" said Chiron entering the room.
"What's the favor?" Asked Percy.
"Well, I've just heard word that we will be getting two new campers today, twins I believe, and I'd be ever so grateful if you two would show them around and you know explain everything too them"
"We'd love too Chiron, when are they arriving?" I asked.
"In about an hour" Chiron replied.
"Sounds great" said Percy.
"Thanks you two" said Chiron. I nodded and Percy and I made our way to the dining hall for lunch. On our way over there we ran into Jason and Piper.
"Hey guys" greeted Piper.
"Hey" I said, waving.
"What's new?" Asked Jason.
"Well, Chiron requested that we help out a pair of twins coming to camp" I said.
"Cool" said Piper "We can help if you want"
"No thanks, we've got it" said Percy.
"Ya, but thanks for offering" I said. We waved goodbye and sat at our designated tables. After lunch Percy and I walked to the front of camp and waiting for the new campers to arrive. We sat down and just enjoyed each other's company. After a while they arrived and we found out that they were two 10 year old twins, named Lucas and Zoey. They both had blonde hair and green eyes.
"Hey guys" said Percy gently. "My names Percy, and this is Annabeth" he said.
"What's going on?" asked Zoey. "What is this place?"
"This is Camp Half Blood. It's a safe place for demigods to train and stay over the summer" I said.
"What's a Demigod?" Asked Lucas.
"Do you know anything about Greek mythology?" I asked.
"A little bit" said Zoey.
"Well, a demigod is a half mortal half god" explained Percy.
"Each of us have a godly parent, for example mine is Athena and Percy's is Poseidon" I said.
"What are our godly parents?" Asked Zoey.
"We don't know yet, but we are hoping to find out soon" I said.
"C'mon we'll show you around" said Percy. We started walking and the twins followed close behind.
"Here we have the sword training arena" said Percy.
"And here is the archery range" I said.
"Over there is the weapons shed" said Percy.
"Can we get weapons?" asked Lucas excitedly.
"I'm sorry your too young but maybe once your trained a little better" I said.
We made are way around the whole camp and showed them everywhere.
"Now let's bring them to the big house" I said. Zoey came up to Percy and grabbed his hand.
"When do we get to go home?" Asked Zoey sadly.
"Yeah I want to see mommy" added Lucas. I bit my lip and looked at Percy.
Hey picked Zoey up which made her giggle.
"We don't know when you get to go home" He said. Zoey looked sad again, but then Percy hoisted her up on his shoulders to cheer her up.
"Chiron?" I asked walking into the big house.
"Have the twins arrived?" asked Chiron entering the room.
"Yes they are right here" I said. Percy lifted Zoey off of his shoulders and set her down. Although she was still clutching on to his side, it was really cute.
"Hello little ones" said Chiron.
"Your a horse!" Exclaimed Lucas, laughing.
"Actually I'm a centaur. I'm half horse half man" said Chiron.
"Annabeth, Percy, keep an eye on them" instructed Chiron sternly. Percy and I both have a mini salute. We looked at each other and laughed.
"Let's go" I said. Chiron left and we started towards the dining hall.
"We have to be careful Percy, we have to make sure to keep an eye on them" I explained.
"Oh c'mon Annabeth they are two 10 year old kids. What could possibly go wrong?"asked Percy.
