It was a quiet Autumn day, the leaves were all orange, and there was a chilly breeze. Collage could be stressful, and sometimes, you need to get away from schoolwork.
It was a Thursday, so I didn't have much time to relax before I had to start on my stupid homework. A lot of the work I was assigned I had a hard time understanding. Unless it was my marine biology class.
In the short amount of time that I had to relax, I decided to go Marylin Park, and listen to music.
After putting in some ear buds and putting on sunglasses, I locked my dorm room, and took the short path to the park. There weren't many people there. Only a man reading a newspaper, a kid playing with his dog, a woman angrily talking into her phone, and a pretty blonde collage student, sitting on a bench. The blonde girl was also listening to music and reading a romance novel.
I sat on the other side of the bench that he girl was sitting on. I closed my eyes, and let the music take over me. After a few songs, I checked my watch, and realized I should get back to campus. I sighed, took out my ear buds, and set my phone on the bench. As I was getting up, my sunglasses slipped off my head. The blonde girl also sat up and set her phone down, so she can tie her shoe.
Right as we were both, standing up we knocked heads.
"Oh, I'm so sorry" apologized the girl.
"No, it was my fault" I responded awkwardly. Embarrassed, I felt around for my phone on the bench. Once my hand closed around a phone, I quickly shoved it in my pocket, and started my walk home.
Once I got back to my dorm, I checked my watch. It was already 5:30. I pulled out my laptop, and started on the assignment I needed to finish.
About an hour later, my phone rang. I dug my hand, into my pocket, and pulled it out. This time I really looked at it, and realized that it wasn't my phone! My phone had a plane black case, and this one was light pink.
I checked the screen of the unknown, phone, it was an unfamiliar number to the phone but I recognized it. It was my number.
Confused, I picked up the phone and heard a female, voice on the other side.
"Hi, my name is Annabeth, and I think you have my phone" said the other voice.
"Umm, hey my name is Percy, how did I end up with your cell phone?" I asked.
"Probably the same way I ended up with yours" replied Annabeth. I laughed slightly, well this is awkward.
"Should we meet up tomorrow, and return them?" I suggested.
"Okay, do you live close to Marylin Park?" asked Annabeth.
"Uh, yeah, what time do you want to meet?" I asked.
"How about 11:00, by the big fountain?" she asked.
"Okay, sounds good" I confirmed.
"Bye" Annabeth hung up the phone. I laughed at the situation.
I returned back to my stupid essay, and finished in the next hour. After having dinner, watching tv, and showering, it was 10:00. I usually go to bed later than that, but I was abnormally tired today.
I rested on my bed, and I eventually fell asleep.

Waking up the next morning, wasn't exciting, I went to a class, ate breakfast, and visited a few friends.
Before I knew it , it was already 10:45. I'd have to leave for the park now if I didn't to be late. I grabbed the pink phone, and the earbuds that came with it.
I got to the park in a matter of minutes, and sat down by the big fountain. A few people passed by, but I doubted any of them were Annabeth. Exactly at 11:00 the same pretty blonde girl, from yesterday, strolled up to the fountain.
"Are you Annabeth?" I asked smiling. She nodded her head. I studied her face for a moment, before snapping back to reality, and fishing her phone out of my pocket.
I returned hers and she gave me mine. I happily accepted my phone back. I smiled, she had neatly wrapped the ear buds around my phone.
"Hey, uhh it's almost lunch time, do you wan to grab a coffee before, you go?" I asked awkwardly. She thought for a moment, before agreeing. I gave her a lopsided grin, and together we walked to one of the nearby coffee shops.
