"Ugh I wish I had never gotten out of that f*cking place!" I yelled.
"What's wrong now?" Gabriel asked as he sat down on the bed beside me.
"Well I missed three weeks of school what do you think is wrong. I can't be on the squad anymore because my grads have dropped so low, I can't seem to catch up in anything and to top it all off your mother is still shoving engagement party ideas down my damn throat. I just can't take this any more," I said throwing my books on the ground.
"How about you take a break for today, I mean you can't expect to learn three weeks of material in one weekend it is just not physically possible," He said trying to get me to leave the room I had locked myself in for the last two days.
"I don't want to go out there again your mother is still out there somewhere. That woman has the nose of a blood hound if I leave this room she will track me down and make me look at more flower arrangements. I mean they are flowers, they are colourful and smell. What more is there?"
"Don't worry she is not here, she ran down town to gather some more stuff," He said still trying to convince me.
"Fine I will leave, but only for a couple of hours, I really do have to try and learn this sh!t," I said getting up and following him.
"Don't worry I will help you in anyway I can, AFTER you take this break,"
"So, what are we going to do on this break," I said as he was dragging me out of the house.
"We are going to go out for lunch, I mean you haven't eaten much and I thought that it would be nice for you to not only get out of the room but out of the house too,"
"Wow you know just what I need," I said getting into his car.
"Isn't that what a boyfriend is for?" He said getting into the drivers seat.
He took me to a small cafe, where we happened to run into Tiffany.
"Gabriel what are the chances, its like it was fate," Tiffany said walking over to our table.
"No, this is just some ones sick idea of a joke," I said.
"Oh Leandra didn't you hear, Gabriel and I are almost back together, I mean we did make out while you were gone," She said smirking thinking she had won.
"Well thats weird, because if you were almost back together shouldn't he be here with you and not me," I said looking at her.
"I think he was just trying to let you down slowly," She said, her smile now faltering.
"Oh then I guess what happened last night was just what his trying to lesson the blow of today," I said, trying to get her think that we had slept together last night.
"Well..... yeah...." she stuttered out.
"Oh really just get over yourself Tiffany, the only reason you kissed him was to try to get me to break up with him so that he was free for you to torture again. Well guess what, it didn't work. I figure it out and Gabriel admitted it. So I guess you are just sh!t Outta luck so why don't you take what little pride you have left and walk out of this Cafe," I said waving her to the door.
With 'Humph' and a foot stomp she turned and left.
"Well that was entertaining," Gabriel said laughing after she left.
"Yeah it really helped me burn off some extra energy, though I do wish it escalated to a fight. That would have really helped me out," I said eating the food that had finally arrived.
"Then how about when we get back, before you have to go back to studying, we try training again,"
"Well it is a good idea, I mean you didn't last very long against Antonio and that does not look good for my reputation. I mean I was supposed to make you a good fighter at least," I said mocking him.
"Hey I was tired after the game and I was distracted because I was worried about you and Kelly. I mean they had a knife to her throat," He said defending himself.
"Don't worry I am just messing with you, I told you from the beginning that you weren't going to last against Antonio, the guy was nuts,"
"Well you did, twice I might add,"
"Yeah one got me stabbed and the other got him shot, I don't think that really counts,"
"Oh well lets just forget about it, chalk it up to nothing but a bad dream,"
"Sounds like a plan to me,"
We finished eating and training and now were in my room trying to study.
"Okay this isn't really helping me," I said detaching my lips from his.
"Sure it is," He said leaning his head down so that he was kissing along my jaw.
"No Gabriel I really have to study," I said in a pathetic attempted to get him to stop.
"It doesn't sound like you really want me to stop," He said finding the spot on my neck causing me to moan in his ear.
"Oh screw it," I said moving his head so that his lips were attached to mine once again.
I was just getting into the kiss when there was a knock on the door and Sheryl yelling through. We pulled away just as she came barging in.
"Okay I have one more thing that I need to do for the Engagement Party today, I really need you to pick out the center pieces," she said handing me several books.
"You know Sheryl, you know this stuff so much better them me. How about I leave this in your capable hands and I get back to study what I missed," I said handing the books back.
"Your right, your studies are more important, I will pick this out for you. Then it will just be a surprise," she said walking out of the room.
"Okay now where were we," gabriel said leaning in for another kiss.
"We were about to start studying," I said pushing his face to the side.
"Man, fine then I guess we can do that instead. Although my idea was a lot more fun.... and physical," He whispered in my ear.
"Yeah yeah yeah, that aint gonna happen anytime soon so don't worry about it," I said opening my books so that I could actually study.
"You suck," he said grabbing his books.
"Yeah you wish," I reply much to his dissatisfaction, I even heard him mutter 'You have no idea', under his breath.
