"Leandra!!!!" Lance yelled as I walked through the front doors of the school.
"Lance!!!!! Why are we yelling!!!!" I said as he gave me the worlds biggest hug.
"Because I missed you dummy, and I am glad your back to help my in chemistry," He said sheepishly.
"Thats all I am good for is a tutor, that hurt Lance it really does. I thought we had something a little more special then that," I said working so that a small tear rolled down my cheek.
"No... Uh... we wer... I mean.... YOu don't... Uhhhh" He tried to stutter out a reply.
"Relax man I am only messing with you," I said wiping away the tear.
"Damn your good, you should be an actress when you get out of school, I mean I know a lot of people who would watch movies with you in it," He said.
"Why thanks, I think," I said continuing on the way to my locker.
"So the stories are true, you are back here," Kaleb said standing in front of my locker.
"Yup looks like I am, no thanks to you,"
"So how did you get out, Antonio get soft and let you go,"
"Wow you don't get out much do you. Every once in a while you should turn off the porn and maybe watch the news or something, because then you would know these things,"
"What the hell is that supposed to mean b!tch,"
"It means, yes Antonio got soft, after I put a nice bullet right between his eyes. I mean he got so soft he fell right to the ground and couldn't get back up,"
"Bullsh!t you would never have to guts for that," He said walking towards me.
"I did, and I still do, so I would back the f*ck off Kaleb, or you might end up just like his poor thugs, either dead or in the intensive care unit," I said walking towards him matching his steps to intimidate him. I seemed to work because he turned on his heels and left.
"Yup you never change," Jesse said walking towards me.
"No, it takes more then a couple of weeks to change me," I said finally getting my books out of my locker, "Hey can I ask you a question how come people stare at me and sometimes even like applaud me?"
"Because you are now a living legend at this school. You should have seen it when you were gone, the only people that didn't seem affected were Kaleb and Tiffany, the rest of the school seemed grey without you around," He explained to me as we walked to my class.
"You have got to be kidding me, I have only been at this school for like a couple of months there is no way I could have made that big of impact,"
"Oh come on its you, the one that made Gabriel fall in love with you in about a month, the one that dethroned Kaleb in about a week and brought social status to those who had none. Face it, you are amazing and are going to leave this school a living legend,"
"Oh that makes me so happy," I reply sarcastically.
"Well face it hun, there is nothing that you can do about it now. It is just the way you are," He said as I walked into my class and was met with the stares of about twenty five people.
This is going to be a long day....
Lunch finally rolled around but it felt like a week had passed. I mean time went faster when I was locked in that cell with nothing to do.
"OMG I thought classes were going to be better without Antonio breathing down my neck. But right now I would rather that then the constant stares of the people in the class. I mean i is really starting to creep me out," I said sitting down at the table with everyone.
"Oh its going to be okay babe, it will all blow over eventually," Gabriel said wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling my into his side.
"Please don't ever call me babe," I said looking up at him.
"Why?"
"Because it is what he always called me and it pisses me off,"
"Okay then I guess I will just have to call you something else," He said giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"I am thinking it is a good thing that you have gym today Leandra, It will be good for you to work out that frustration," Kevin said.
"Hey I know a better way to work out frustration," Jesse piped up.
"Enough with the stacks Jesse, realize that it is never going to happen," I said laughing at him.
"Hey can't blame a man for trying,"
"And can't blame a boyfriend for kicking his @ss," Gabriel threatened.
"Oops! My bad, sorry man," Jesse said going back to eating.
"But that doesn't mean that we couldn't go to the stacks," Gabriel whispered in my ear.
"Sorry, but I will never do it with anyone in the stacks of a library. That is just wrong," I whispered back to him.
"You know we have to do it eventually, there is no use putting off the inevitable,"
"Yes there is, because maybe I want to wait for our wedding night. That would make it so much more special," I said much to his disatisfaction.
"You are going to kill me woman,"
"Nah, that is what cold showers are for,"
"Only if you are in one with me," He said earning him a smack.
"What the hell are you two lovebirds whispering about," Kelly said.
"Sex," I replied back easily.
"Oh we didn't need to know that," She said trying to shake the pictures out of her head.
"Hey you were the one who had to ask what we were whispering about," I laughed.
The lunch bell rang and I headed to the last couple classes of the day. glad that this day was almost over.
Hopefully tomorrow is better....
