Feelings were plaguing Tobi, he wasn't sure whether his feelings of friendship for Josh were something more. Despite wrestling with his emotions, he had videos to record, the ultimate and most definite part of his career and something he always had to deal with no matter whether personal issues cropped up or not. He was glum and moody after having to leave everyone after celebrating Josh's birthday and naturally he missed Josh the most, his rock, his go to guy if you will. Tobi had always been a good friend to everyone and was highly thought of and attracted plenty of attention among girls. He had had a couple of relationships which while having ended, ended on good terms. Despite this, his feelings for Josh were the result of one key factor, 10 years.
A knock on his door woke Tobi from his deep thoughts. Opening the door revealed the ever perceptive and intelligent Vikk.
"Hey Vikk, what brings you here?" said Tobi, surprised at his friends sudden arrival and the fact that he was away from his busy schedule.
" I wanted to talk to you" said Vikk bluntly. "I wanted to check you were alright because you seemed pretty downtrodden when you left the other day and Josh and I could see it"
Tobi's face perked up considerably when hearing Josh's name and Vikk gave him a questioning look, still try to read Tobi's thoughts, his mind even. "I've been coming to terms with a few things" sighed Tobi melancholically.
"Do you want to talk about it?" said Vikk with a sad smile
"I guess I'll have to come to terms with it sometime, let's sit down"
Vikk sat down and was provided with some tea by Tobi, a typical caring action of someone who always wanted to see his friends relaxed and comfortable, something they all appreciated from one of the kindest people they knew and now Vikk wanted to return the favour and be there for Tobi when he needed someone to talk to.
"So what's on your mind?" probed Vikk but not in a forceful manner.
"It's Josh." Stated Tobi "I've felt particularly strongly about him recently and the strength of these feelings first seemed to surface on his birthday, the day where all this started, I'm not sure why though."
"I think that it might be the fact that you and Josh are pretty grown up now and that his birthday illustrated that to you, so the length of time you've been friends has just made your friendship even stronger. It's almost as if you can't see yourself being without Josh and when you're not with him it's just unusual." The situation was incredibly surreal, Vikk was practically Tobi's psychologist, analysing every facet of his thoughts, feelings and emotions, but Tobi was grateful that someone was doing it.
"I guess that's why, we never argue or have any disagreements, our friendship has never hit any obstacles and maybe I've become overly attached to him" said Tobi sorrowfully.
"I think that's a bit extreme, it's great that you show him how much he means to you" reassured Vikk and this prompted Tobi's characteristic beaming smile, "you two help all of us as well and without you two, I don't think the Sidemen would be able to cope. Whatever your feelings for Josh you should think about them more and not disregard them, they're there for a reason" smiled Vikk.
Tobi couldn't help but feel happier but he still needed to explore this matter further, was his love for Josh more than a friendly one? In fact he realised that it was a passionate one which caused him to freeze, taking it in.
Vikk stared, confused by what he was witnessing "are you alright Tobi?"
"I think I might... love Josh"
"In what way?" said Vikk slowly, amazed by what he was hearing.
"Er, like erm, strongly" stuttered Tobi
"Riiiiiiiight" said Vikk
"Yeah" replied Tobi
"Well I'll support you no matter what Tobi" said Vikk wanting to be there for his friend
Tobi was relieved, worried at what Vikk might say, he then sighed and in a hopeful tone said
"I just hope Josh feels the same way."
