Everything was nearly there for Josh. This was it, this was the day he was finally going to move to Canada and embark on an exciting new adventure. He was leaving a lot behind, but as painful as it was for Josh he could only feel even greater pain would follow if he was to stay. He knew he wouldn't be able to stay away for ever, but he didn't have to, he could Skype and he could communicate so he felt that there was plenty of opportunity to stay connected with the guys. One thing that worried him however was that he was going behind the back of the guys, he was lying to them. He felt he had to do it though, he needed to be his own person, he needed to break free, he needed a change in his life, he needed excitement and adventure, something that was necessary to supplement his intrepid characteristics.
The guys were all having a day off. They all needed a break. They were all gathered together in the house chilling, something that had been the case far more often through everything that had happened. These events had made them bond more, something that hadn't gone unnoticed by a few of them and they were grateful for it. The football match they were watching ended, JJ then got up and drew everyone's attention.
"Guys there's something I need to say. I know I'm not the most emotional of men, but I'm finally at a point in my life where I can appreciate my situation to it's fullest extent. I've never been happier than I am right now and that's down to someone who I've found to be particularly special, someone who reciprocates my feelings I have for them. Funnily enough it's a guy I've found, it's a man who I love.
Everyone's mouths dropped, they certainly did not expect this from JJ. Everyone's mouths apart from Harry.
"I'm with Harry guys. We love each other."
Harry smiled, got up and joined JJ, he then addressed the group, albeit briefly.
"I don't have much to say guys, JJ said everything there needs to be dead. We've got three couples now!"
The others whooped and cheered with a chorus of complements thrown at JJ and Harry. Josh was delighted for his friends, but he just laughed to himself. One part of his nightmare had come true, but it wasn't a bad thing, he was happy that at least this part had become real, but he could scarcely believe it, the odds being incredibly slim of that happening in his mind. Tobi went over to Josh and snapped him out of his trance.
"Isn't this great Josh!? There's three couples now!"
Josh smiled "It is indeed great Tobi, I'm so happy for them."
"I'm safe and happy in the knowledge that we'll all stay together forever and this means we'll all be closer. All these couples will never be apart." said Tobi in a hopeful tone with a wide smile on his face.
Josh reacted uneasily, he knew this wasn't going to be true, not that he and Tobi wouldn't be able to reunite full time later on, he would still be able to make videos together with the others, however not as often and five years was a long time and he knew the others would be far from happy when they'd found out he'd left, they'd be incredibly angry, but he felt he could turn them around, he was prepared to risk it for his dream job and a new adventure, he was doing it with the intention of protecting his relationship with the others, believing they would face less adversity with him there, he was doing this not just for himself, but for the others as well.
"I agree Tobz" was all Josh could muster with a smile full of diluted emotion. The guys then just carried on and did their own thing, causing havoc in various parts of the house.
*2 hours later*
The celebrations were over.
It was time for Josh to leave.
He gathered everything together and snuck out of the house as subtly as he possibly could. He took one last look at the house before he left, a whirlwind of emotions hitting him. He composed himself, got in his taxi and he was away. Josh emptied his head and just let the taxi carry him to the airport, before he left, he thought he'd send Tobi a text, albeit cryptic so he wouldn't catch on:
"Tobz I love you. What I'm doing now will benefit everyone, I promise."
Tobi opened the text instantly.
He read it.
He stopped. He just stopped working like a faulty computer.
Tobi knew, he knew what Josh was doing, their ability to read each other was one of the primary features of their relationship.
"GUYS!!! WE NEED TO GO!!!! WE NEED TO HURRY!!!" shouted Tobi in a maelstrom of panic to the others and they all stampeded down stairs alerted by his cries.
"What's going on Tobi!? " said Ethan worried
"Josh" he said worryingly
"What about Josh?" enquired Vikk
"Airport." said Tobi rushing around the room looking for his keys.
The eyes of all the others widened.
They were running out of time.
They all rushed out of the house and go into two separate cars.
Tobi was a wreck.
The clock was ticking.
