The guys were ready to go on their skiing trip, all minus JJ who would join them later in the week. They were excited, upbeat and were full of a sense of adventure, particularly Tobi. He had spent a long time planning this, he wanted to spend time with Josh but he also wanted all the guys to have a holiday together and just have a laugh, because that was the point of life, to enjoy it and live your days as if it were your last. This was particularly true for Tobi, he was a considerably philosophical man and also spiritual. He showed great interest in a great variety of different topics, he was curious and he was intrigued when presented with something he wasn't completely knowledgeable about. The main traits of Tobi though, his main characteristics that were always heralded by others, were his kindness, his generosity and his patience. Everyone knew what a good, down to earth person he was and there were few that rivalled him in this way, not that he minded if people did. For Tobi, this holiday was an opportunity. For Tobi, this holiday epitomised what he wanted in life: fun and friendship.
*Tobi's POV*
The journey to Switzerland wasn't as long as I thought it would be. It was smooth and with five of your best friends with you, the time went especially quickly. Josh had seemed a lot more excited and happy during the trip and this made me so happy, as much as I love the other guys as friends, if Josh hadn't come I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. We landed in Switzerland and got to the mountains and unpacked everything in our beautiful wood furnished chalet. I felt I deserved some credit with the choice, I mean it was pretty sweet! All the guys showed their appreciation and after an hour of getting to grips with everything, all of our feelings were summed up by Ethan:
"Zingu wants to get out there and tear it up on the slopes!" He was so eager, like and overexcited puppy and his energy was infectious.
We all got up there and as a few of the others had never been before, there was a varying degree of skill, Josh, myself and Vikk were the more experienced ones and Ethan, Simon and Harry were not as experienced at skiing, there were a few hilarious falls, particularly Simon as he crashed into Ethan at one point, both blushing considerably as they picked themselves up of the ground. We all zipped along on the slopes and it was relaxing and care-free and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
I can just tell this holiday is going to be great!
*Narrator*
The guys were having a great time on the slopes the days passed and they all had fun, relaxed and bonded even more. The effect was so great that Josh had almost forgotten about his deadline. The deadline came right in the middle of the holiday. Josh woke up and on the bedside table he found a note: "Today's the day. Good luck, Vikk." He felt sick, angry and tormented, the holiday had been a saving grace as he'd barely been able to concentrate for the past month and this was it, ten years could extend or they could fade away. JJ would be arriving in the middle of the day as well, so all the other Sidemen would be there to watch the carnage unfold. Josh wasn't ready and he was terrified of what was to come.
After a long day of skiing, the Sidemen were ready to go out in the skiing village which had plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. JJ had called ahead and said his flight had been heavily delayed and that he most likely wouldn't be there till the next day. They were all about to leave when Vikk sprung his trap. He decided he was going to force the issue and could not wait any longer, he wasn't going to allow Josh to break up with Tobi, he was going to make him confess.
"Before we leave, there's something I want to get off my chest. We're all friends here and we're honest with each other and I want us to try and enjoy the rest of our holiday with all our cards on the table. Maybe it would be better if you told Tobi Josh?" Vikk grinned.
"Tell me what Josh??" asked Tobi with a tone of curiosity.
This was it.
